1 Month
We find out we're expecting a child.
My body shakes with excitement and anxiety.
Winry smiles at me happily, and I smile back.
Our family will be complete with the new addition
2 Months
In and out of the washroom Winry goes
This morning sickness is worrying me.
But what I fear most of all…
Is Winry's wrench and a swollen head
3 Months
Every day, Winry's belly grows
A small bump has already formed.
The other good thing about this,
Is that we're expecting a boy.
4 Months
By this time, I'm really surprised
To find Winry eating food all the time
The funny thing about her cravings
Is that she eats more than I do!
5 Months
Backache this, headache that…
These mood swings are actually out of whack
Not only did she complain about the pain
I ended up with a dented skull.
6 Months
Three months to go, and the bump still grows.
I'm amazed at how big my boy is growing
Winry places my hand on her belly,
And he starts to kick around with joy.
7 Months
Even if I tell her to rest,
She still insist that she has to work
I just shake my head and sigh
Where does she get all this energy from?
8 Months
One month to go…
I start to get nervous
But Winry assures me
This baby will be worth it.
9 Months
Golden hair; blue eyes,
This child is a beautiful sight.
After nine months of waiting and wondering
I stare and look at our new son...
