Thalia

I was walking through the woods with the hunters, we were on the hunt for a large pack of hellhounds who had been causing trouble. As we walked on a well worn path in the forest I heard a loud thump, I waited to see whether another sound would come but nothing happened. I motioned the hunters forward and we searched for the cause of the noise. We came into a spacious clearing and in the center I saw Percy, lying in a pool of his own blood. I was ready to find who did this to Percy until I noticed the inscription on the blade: Anaklusmos. I wasted no time pondering and carried him to the camp. When I noticed the hunters did not come forward to help, I screamed at them, "HELP ME CARRY HIM, I CAN'T DO THIS BY MYSELF!" With great reluctance they stepped forward and helped her out. Without warning Phoebe asked, "Why are we carrying this...this boy?" Thalia nearly screamed again but kept herself calm and replied, "Because he's fucking Percy Jackson, that's why!"

Percy

Percy slowly woke up and looked at his surroundings, he was lying down in a sleeping bag, nestled in the corner of a lime green tent. In the other corner of the tent Thalia was sitting on a stool, giving him a murderous look. "Explain," she said to him. He told her everything, about Annabeth and Jason. He was aware of the tears streaming down his cheeks. I said, "Thank you, Thalia," but I gotta go. "No, NO, NO, you're NOT GOING TO LEAVE!"

Everybody

For the next 6 and a half months, Percy tagged along with the hunt and helped out with chores. He had no reason to but Thalia wouldn't let him leave so he eventually became a member of the hunt. He wasn't quite Percy anymore, he never laughed or smiled, his eyes didn't sparkle and he was never enthusiastic. Eventually a small sparkle came back into his eyes and he started to smile. It was small but... baby steps. Slowly the hunters came to respect him and even like him, (not in that way.) Percy slowly developed feelings for Artemis, and Artemis, without even knowing started to love him. Percy picked up on this and decided, one day he would tell her.

Percy

He walked up to Artemis. She looked beautiful in the moonlight, with her silver hair glowing and her body radiating power. Percy then blurted out, "Artemis, I love you and always will. I must know whether you feel the same!" Artemis looked at Percy in shock, and replied, "Percy, I do, but... but I can't and I...I," Percy immediately cut her off and said, "I understand Lady Artemis," With that he ran off with tears streaming down his face. His only hope, that kept him in this world had been destroyed. First Annabeth, now this. He knew what to do, and this time, he would finish it.

He walked into the outskirts of the camp and slowly ran his sword Anaklusmos (Riptide) across his wrists, screaming through all of it. Screaming not because of pain, but to let out all of that pent up grief and anger. Not wishing to drag the ordeal out he quickly stabbed himself in the neck.

Everybody

The hunt came too late, and Artemis was broken. She refused to move, or eat, or even drink. By now the hunters had worked out what happened. All the hunters said it was not her fault, but she always replied the same thing, "He was not the one who killed himself, it was I, I murdered him," Eventually the hunt came back, and Artemis started getting up again, but she was never the same.

Was it bad? Was it awful? Was it horrendous? Or was it decent?

I thought it was pretty awful myself, and this is my first fic.

Sorry to anyone expecting a Pertemis fic with a happy ending.
