i was digging through the depths of my notes and found this and after some revisions i decided to post it lol because i wanted to post something

His back was really itchy.

Infuriatingly itchy.

He'd realized that the primary reason for his distress was this new thick wool tunic he'd received for the winter. That, combined with the dry Berk winter weather, made Hiccup's back was impossibly itchy. Impossible, as in he couldn't reach it.

There was a slight glint of envy in his eyes as he watched the twins scratch each others' backs, wishing he could ask someone to scratch his back for him. Snotlout would laugh in his face, but to be honest, he did that a lot. Fishlegs would find it extremely awkward, despite the fact that Meatlug licked his feet. Astrid would hit him, and he really wasn't in the mood for a new bruise. And Toothless? He wanted his back scratched, not clawed apart.

Using a wall was mostly out-of-question, as Hiccup really didn't want to get a splinter in his back, where he also, would not be able to reach it. So he was stuck with an itchy back and quite possibly the most pain he's been in since his leg...

His leg.

Suddenly a brilliant idea popped into his mind. Untying the rope that helped secure his prosthetic to his residual limb, Hiccup removed his artificial leg and brought it up to his back, sighing in relief as his problem was finally solved.

It made a wonderful back scratcher.

ok but here's a real issue how the heck does hiccup's prosthetic leg attach to his residual limb like have you noticed that it's flat on top like? before I thought it was hollowed out or something but now? so many questions so few answers.
