I'm Awake
I don't know how long I've been here or why I am here. I don't even know where here is. The only thing I do know is that I am here in this mostly black void. The only thing here, besides me, is the green code that comes and goes. I had never messed with them before since they were always changing and moving, but something began to change.
The codes changed to blue and they combined into a single entity. I couldn't help myself. I followed them and got sucked through some kind of portal.
I don't like this new place. It's dark, cold, and quiet. There isn't even any code flittering about. I want to go back, but I don't know how.
Wait, I think I hear something.
Yes, something is out there. I followed the sounds and found myself blinded by a blue light.
What is this?
What's going on?
Am I seeing the outside world?
I think I am! I'm seeing the outside world, but what exactly am I looking at?
There are several little black figures maneuvering around a giant yellow figure. They were trading flashing lights.
Are they dancing?
No! They are definitely not dancing.
Two little ones were sent flying and they crashed into my vision, leaving cracks behind.
What's going on?
Why is this happening?
I didn't understand what was happening, but this was scaring me. The little ones were being flung everywhere and when the landed, they didn't move anymore.
The yellow one was running towards me. I wanted to pull away, but I'm paralyzed. Then, the yellow one was upon me, ripping my body to shreds.
It hurts so badly!
Why is he doing this?
What did I do?
The yellow one pulled out a small fragment and jumped off of me.
That was all he wanted?
That tiny little cog?
My thoughts were interrupted when the yellow one was thrown aside by a silver being. The little one began to flee, and the giants began to fight. I managed to stay awake long enough to see the fragment get blasted away. The yellow one became distraught.
Serves him right, I thought as I fell down.
I was in the void with the green codes and I felt safe again.
