Crush.

"He fancies you." Stephen muttered, watching as Connor left the room, Nick looked up but said nothing, his expression amused as Stephen scowled and walked over, sitting down on the desk.
"He'll get over it." Nick said after a moment, squeezing Stephen's knee before turning back to his papers.
"I don't like it." Stephen grumbled.
Nick raised an eyebrow and looked back at his lover, "Why not? It's just a crush, he'll get over it soon enough."
"I don't like it when he looks at you like that! Like he wants to eat you."
Nick flushed slightly, his cheeks turning a faint pink, "Look, Connor's mind is a complicated place and he's figuring a lot out right now. He's young. Just leave him be."
"But -"
"Stephen!" Stephen swallowed at the tone his lover used, the one that left no room for argument, the one that was, whilst annoying, also incredibly hot, "Just drop it okay. Connor will be over it by next week, you know what you were like at his age." There was a brief silence then as they both remembered that at Connor's age Stephen was already screwing Nick's wife. "Well… What most people are like at Connor's age." Nick corrected quietly, pushing that thought away, "Crushes come and go." He reached up and cupped Stephen's face, drawing him into a kiss, "I'm with you, and I'm staying with you. I feel nothing like that for Connor, never will, he's like my… My little brother or son or something."
Stephen gave a small smile, "I'm sorry." He murmured, "I just…"
"It's okay, I get it." They both watched as Connor walked back in, ducking his head and flushing red as Nick smiled at him, "I think he just wants someone to watch over him, to protect him." Nick said quietly, "And I fit the bill for some reason." He stood up, pressing a chaste kiss to Stephen's lips, "Really the two of you aren't so different." He added with a chuckle as he left the room.
