"You can't defeat me. I have the help of my friends. But you...you are pathetic, Lyon. Master wouldn't have approved of what you're doing.." Gray said as he cast the finishing blow...
A huge shard of ice was the last thing Lyon saw before losing consciousness.

Lyon awakened. Nobody was around. Well, at least right now. It seemed that the Fairy Tail guild had already left the island. After carefuly checking out the situation, he discovered that the monster was gone too? Could Gray have defeated him too? Lyon got mad at this thought. HE was supposed to defeat the monster and prove himself as the strongest Ice Mage.
"CURSE YOU , GRAY!" He shouted into the sky.
Lyon was mad...but he cooled down.
He didn't anyone's help.
He could do it himself.
He would do it himself.
He WILL become the world's greatest mage...
But first, he needed to become stronger.
And in order to do that, he needed to defeat Gray...

Slight AU in that Lyon doesn't belong to any guild yet. I'm planning him to found his own guild. Of course, his ultimate goal is to surpass Gray and become the greatest Ice Mage - I hated it in the anime when Lyon was just defeated by Gray because of friendship. Unlike he anime, this story will be more focused on battling, training and overcoming your weaknesses and aiming for the highest goal - that's what really resonates with me in Lyon's character.
