"Oh, come on."
Lockon and Allelujah's remorseful silence was interrupted when Tieria's voice suddenly spoke through their cockpits' radio receivers. Moments earlier, Lockon had salvaged the cockpit of the ELS-infected 00 Raiser in a desperate attempt to preserve the life of the comatose pilot inside. Lockon and Allelujah had begun their retreat while Tieria stayed behind to create a diversion against the aggressive alien enemy.
"You guys are getting all goosey and blubbery like you're seriously sacrificing me to save Setsuna. It makes no sense."
As the Raphael Gundam was voluntarily assimilated by a hive of ELS units, Tieria's voice continued to broadcast over the radio unbroken, uninterrupted.
"It's not like my upcoming death scene is actually going to mean anything. The TV series already ruined it by establishing death has absolutely no effect on me. You guys know you're not actually leaving me to die. You know I'm just going to download my brain into another one of my clones or a Gundam or something. What the Hell was Sunrise even thinking when they decided to throw me into this movie for 20 minutes just to kill me off again? They must think I'm Akane Higurashi or someone. Whatever they were trying to do, it obviously didn't work considering nobody bought the model kit for Raphael Gundam and now it's first run is already on sale on Hobbysearch. It's named after a Ninja Turtle, for Veda's sake. How intimidating is that supposed to be? And why is it stuck with three lousy Tau Drives? All of the previews showed me using at least one real GN Drive. And why did they give this thing giant unwieldy grappling hook claws, anyway? Were they playing Triggerheart Exelica one day and were just like 'Hey! We should make a Gundam that does something sort of like that!'? I mean honestly, if I…"
In Harute Gundam's cockpit, Allelujah was now clutching the side of his helmeted head in agony. Tieria's rambling, monotonous voice was bringing him more pain than the constant telepathic droning noise the ELS emitted. Having heard enough, his alter-ego, Hallelujah, took control of his mind. The more violent persona screamed at his Innovade comrade while impulsively firing several shots from the Harute's rifles at the now-stationary Raphael Gundam.
"SHUT UP!"
Tieria saw this attack through the small portion of his cockpit screen that hadn't been covered in ELS crystals. He spoke to his unit's voice recognition system in a somewhat embarrassed tone.
"Oh… Trans-Am."
Seconds before one of Hallelujah's frantic shots ruptured the Raphael Gundam's fuselage, the machine's armor began glowing in a vibrant red tint. This radiance increased the energy emitted by the Raphael's explosive destruction, and a large number of ELS that had closely swarmed around Tieria were eliminated in the process.
After the death of Tieria's current physical body, Setsuna was safely delivered to the Ptolemaios. Tieria's consciousness re-entered Veda as expected and, after holding a short argument with Hallelujah, he installed himself into a small terminal that had been built into the 00 Quanta. When Setsuna recovered from his coma, he would work together with Tieria and attempt to peacefully communicate with the ELS in Celestial Being's final mission.
