Raven/Red X oneshot
"Hey," Raven silently sighed. "X," She hadn't even bothered to turn around. He knew something was wrong when she didn't even try to insult him. He hadn't put on his mask, so she could see his face.
"Why so gloomy Sunshine?" he said walking over to where she was sitting stoically, with her hood up. She just sat there, still and unresponsive. He sat down beside her silently and looked into the distance not sure what to say. Finally he turned to her, his smirk gone, his green eyes full of concern. "Raven are you okay? Just look at me." She turned slowly to face him.
He was shocked to see her normally emotionless face covered with sadness. Raven was moody and grumpy but never, ever sad. " I'm fine," she said quietly, turning away from him yet again. "No, something's wrong. Raven please," he said gently as he took her pale hand in his gloved one. She closed her eyes and sighed. " A friend has… died," she whispered. "Who angel?" he asked softly. "She was my teacher, my... mentor growing up." she said sadly as a tear slowly ran down her cheek. He let go of her hand to gently wrap his arms around her waist and hold her close.
Instead of pushing him away like normal, she leaned in at his touch and buried her face in his chest. Sobs racked through her body and hot tears flowed freely down her pale checks as he held her tightly, slowly rocking her back and forth. "It's okay, just let it out" he murmured as he rubbed circles on her back. Slowly her sobs died down as she wiped her eyes with the back of her hand. She finally looked up at him and smiled. He was glad to see that her eyes were void of the sadness that was there before. "Thank you Jason." " No problem Sunshine," he said, smiling down at her. "How did you know to come?" she asked. "I just have fabulous timing," he said grinning. He wrapped his arms around her petite waist and pulled her even closer to him. "Yeah, Jason you do," she murmured. He straightened up, gently took his face in her hands, and kissed her.
