Pairing: David Rossi and ?
Disclaimer: I don't own them I'm just playing with them.
Summary: David Rossi was good at the love 'em and leave 'em game only this time he wasn't so certain he could. Leave that is.
David Rossi had never cared before about being the guy after the guy. It had never bothered him knowing that the woman in his arms was pretending he was someone else. He'd gotten good at it. After all, that was how he had met wife number two. But this was different, she was different.
He was surprised when she had approached him. He didn't think she thought of him in that way. He hesitated at first, not really telling her no but not saying yes either. She hadn't pressed just let him know if he changed his mind that she was waiting. He didn't make her wait long. Lord knew he had tried to keep it casual tried to keep his own heart from getting involved. The problem was he had lost it to her long ago.
Her bright smile and feminine allure had captured him within minutes of their first meeting. And now, here they were laying beside each other her asleep and he watching her. His heart ached to tell her how he felt but with each passing moment it got harder to do. Her confidence was returning after being shattered by the ignoramus that had broken her heart as well. She had started flirting with other men had started going out with the girls and checking out the available men. Men who were her own age, men without all the baggage he carried.
It was only a matter of time before she told him thanks and goodbye. And he would let her go because that's what you are supposed to do if you love someone. Isn't it? He sighed and rolled onto his back throwing his arm across his eyes. How could he continue to work with her knowing she was with someone else? How could he leave? She would break his heart and move on and then it would be his turn to find a rebounder. But he would never be the same.
She rolled on her side and scooted closer to him her hand slid softly across his chest as she nestled against him. He wrapped his arm around her and held her close for now she was his and he was going to enjoy every moment of it. Maybe, just maybe she wouldn't bounce away.
