Bane

An old poem I found that, when read, reminded me of one of my favorite pairings. Good thing I forgot about it, I think I was actually gonna send this to some one. But never mind, read it if you want, or don't. The rhyming is pretty good, and I can almost imagine Beast Boy saying something similar. Well, at least once he matured.

Bane

Bane of day, bane of night,

Bane of darkness, bane of light.

You hide yourself well in your cloak of desolation,

But don't think you can lose me in an act of alienation.

Bane of sanity, bane of madness,

Bane of brilliance, bane of flatness.

You cower in a corner, and pretend to not exist,

But seeing you there, it's hard to resist.

Bane of fortune, bane of doom,

Bane of gladness, bane of gloom.

You say I am a bother, the greatest nuisance,

But getting you to laugh would be the greatest usance.

Bane of peace, bane of strife,

Bane of death, bane of life.

You won't give me a chance,

But just give me your hand, and we shall dance.
