What happened to us?
A/N:Naruino, as usual, far more angsty than my usual happy fics. College is kicking my ass right now so I feel angsty myself. It'll show itself here. Written to: What happened to us? By the band Hoobastank. Great song.

What Happened To Us?
Naruto looked at the rain making pitter patter sounds outside of his window. He thought back to when he first met the flower expert. It was years ago, before he even entered the academy. She was his first friend, and first love.
"Damn it Ino, why'd you have to go and hurt me like that?"
Ino Yamanaka heard the rain while she was laying down in bed. It made her remember something, the day she met Naruto Uzumaki. 'He was something special.' She thought to herself.
It was raining hard the day she met him, he didn't have a jacket and had gotten kicked out of the orphanage, so she guided him to the only place a six-year-old can think of. Home.
Her daddy had been pleasantly surprised at finding the blonde, who was smaller than his daughter, in the living room, looking perplexed at a puzzle.
"Daddy! This is Naruto Uzumaki! I'm sorry for not asking, but it was raining hard and he didn't have a jacket. I didn't want him to get sick. Can he spend the night daddy?" She asked, eyes akin to that of a puppy. Inoichi Yamanaka was a sucker for those eyes, he smiled. "Yes, princess, he may stay the night here. He was taken aback when he was hugged quickly by his daughter. "Thank you daddy! Thank you so much!"
At this, Naruto spoke up, "thank you Yamanaka-san. I promise not to be trouble." Inoichi smiled at the boy, "Just Inoichi-san is fine Naruto, I know you won't cause trouble."
It seemed like ages since then. Naruto and Ino had eventually started dating once the two graduated the academy, that, however all came crashing down on a day that was far too memorable for Ino's liking.
"Naruto, we need to talk." Said the mind-walker.
Looking up at his girlfriend, Naruto felt his stomach drop, 'what could she possibly want to talk about? Why did she drop the kun from my name?' "What's up Ino-chan?" He responded. A look of concern adorned his features.
"Listen Naruto, I don't love you anymore,I never did. In fact, I think I hate you, I used you. You meant nothing to me, I'm sorry but please do not speak to me anymore." She said walking away, 'Naruto-kun, please forgive me one day'
To say Naruto was shocked would be an understatement. "Ino-chan! Where are you going?" He shouted. "Don't leave me alone! You promised you wouldn't! You said you would never leave my side! If I did anything i'm sorry! Please come back!" He cried, but it was all in vain. The young heiress quickened her pace. Tears in her eyes. 'I hope he makes you as happy as he did me, Hinata.'
A/N: Probably could've continued, but I felt like that was a good stopping point, Hinata pretty much threatened Ino to break up with Naruto and never speak to him again.
