DiSCLAIMER: I do not own Story of Independence, Android 101 does or Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling does.
Harry walked up to his dorm, Sabrina curled on his arm.
He would figure out what Ginny was trying to hide tomorrow.
~Yes, you need your sleep, my Harry.~ Sabrina hissed.
He said goodnight to Hermione and then collapsed on his bed.
~Goodnight, Sabrina.~
~Goodnight, my Harry.~
The next day, Harry woke up early as usual and found Ginny sitting in the common room.
"What are you doing up, Ginny?" he asked her.
Maybe he could get it out of her.
"Oh, Harry!" she exclaimed.
Harry raised an eyebrow questioningly and sat down in an armchair across from her.
"I understand that you don't want to tell me anything, but remember, don't trust anything if you can't see where it keeps its brain," he told her.
Ginny looked down at her feet and bit her lip.
~She is obviously worried, my Harry.~ Sabrina hissed quietly.
~Do, you think I should use Legilimency on her?~
~No! Harry!~
~Sabrina, she's not telling me what's going on! I need to know!~
Harry looked Ginny in the eye and sent a small Legilimency probe into her mind.
Skimming the surface of her thoughts, he picked up a little bit about Ron and her mother but also found something else.
Dear Tom. Should I tell Harry about you?
NO! He will take it badly.
What do you mean?
I mean he will not want to be your friend anymore.
Harry exited Ginny's mind.
So, a diary that talked.
"Ginny," he said.
She looked up.
"I know about the diary. Why didn't you tell me?"
Ginny snapped her head up.
"What? Have you used Legilimency on me? It doesn't matter. Tom was right, you don't want to be my friend anymore."
"No, Ginny. Don't listen to Tom. Like I said before. You are the only person that fully understands me. I still want you to be my friend. But may I please see the diary?"
Ginny looked taken back.
"You still want to be my friend? But Tom said…"
"I told you, not everything Tom says is true. May I please see the diary? I need to know if it is safe."
"Tom is safe. He'd never hurt me!"
"Ginny, please, you never know!"
"Fine."
Ginny reached into her bag and pulled out the black book Harry had seen from her thoughts.
Immediately, Harry winced.
Ginny, noticing this said: "Harry? What's wrong?"
Harry looked up.
"Ginny! Don't ever touch that diary again. It is a Horcrux. If you keep writing in it, you might become possessed! Voldemort's in it!"
Ginny looked even more scared.
"Harry, there's something else. I wrote that stuff on the wall. I opened the Chamber of Secrets."
Harry shook his head.
"I know Ginny. Where's the entrance? Can you show me?"
Harry wrote a note to Ron and followed Ginny to the girl's bathroom.
"There. You need to speak Parseltongue to open it though."
~Open!~
~Huh? Were you talking to me?~
~Not now, Sabrina!~
~Fine! Be like that!~
Harry rolled his eyes.
"Thanks, Ginny. I'll take Ron here tonight. We'll go take out that basilisk."
"No. Harry, I'm afraid I can't let you. I don't want you to get hurt."
"Ginny. Either way, I'm going. Hermione is petrified and someone needs to take out Tom."
Ginny sighed but she understood. Harry led her back to the common room to find Ron and tell him about their finds. Ron was playing chess with Dean. When he noticed Harry he said:
"Oh, hi Harry. Where've you been?"
Harry pulled Ron away from Dean and said: "I found out where the entrance to the Chamber is, we'll go tonight."
Ron nodded and continued his game with Dean. Harry looked around the Common Room for Ginny, but she had disappeared. Instead, he decided to go visit Hermione in the Hospital Wing.
That evening, after the feast, Harry and Ron were heading to the girl's bathroom when:
"All students must return to their common rooms, all teachers to the 2nd-floor corridor."
There's probably been another attack. Harry thought.
He and Ron decided to go to the 2nd floor to see who had been attacked.
Instead, they saw another message: Her skeleton will lay in the Chamber forever.
"Well, Professor Lockhart, it seems your time is here," said Professor McGonagall.
"What?" asked Lockhart.
"Weren't you saying just last night that you knew where the Chamber had been all along?" asked Snape.
"Huh? Oh, yes. Uh… I'll just be in my office…. preparing." Lockhart said.
"Minerva, who is it the monster has taken?" asked Madame Pomfrey.
"Ginny Weasley," said Professor McGonagall.
Harry turned to Ron: "We have to go to Lockhart. He's not completely useless, and that's my little sister, even if she is a brat."
Harry nodded.
"Yeah let's go."
They ran to Lockhart's office where they found he was packing up all his things.
"Where are you going," asked Harry.
"I'm sorry, boys, but urgent business has been brought up, and I must leave the school at once." said Lockhart.
"What? You can't do that! That's my little sister down there!" yelled Ron.
"I'm afraid I-" Lockhart began.
"Come on, Lockhart. Don't be such a wimp. We're going and you're coming with us." Harry stated cleanly.
"But I am a wimp," Lockhart muttered quietly.
Harry ignored him and pushed him out of his office towards the girl's bathroom with Ron's help.
They shoved Lockhart into the bathroom and then Harry went over to the sink and said:
~Open.~
The sinks opened up, revealing the large whole.
"Well done, boys, now I really must be going." Lockhart said.
But just as he started walking towards the door, Ron pushed him so hard he went backwards into the whole.
Then, he and Ron jumped.
