No one cared. I thought. They all thought only of my precious sister. Briarlight, the cripple.

No one ever defended me from Millie's anger. She loved only Briarlight. When my sister was hungry, and dragged herself to the fresh-kill pile, Millie hovered and watched her every step.

But on the other paw, I got scorn. "Why can't you help your sister?" "Why are you such a failure." "A kit could have caught that mouse! Now Thunderclan will have less. Briarlight has been starving herself all leafbare!" It was all about my stupid sister. Nothing about me. Never.

I sighed. Pity was never going to get me anywhere. My "poor" sister was living proof of that. If pity was effective, she would be the best warrior in the Clan. But she wasn't. She was grounded, and I was fool for wishing for attention.

I shifted in my nest. Great. Another night without sleep. But I was wrong. I fell fast asleep. When I opened my eyes, it was dark. And quiet. No birds called, and no stars hung in the night sky. I shivered. It was freezing here! I looked down. Dead leaves littered the forest floor, but they seemed odd. I padded deeper in. "Hello!" I called. And echo sounded. I shuddered. I didn't want to get lost in here! A black cat emerged from the shadows. I stepped back.

"Do not be afraid, Blossomfall. Only the best warriors can come here. And only the most angry. The most hurt." He took another step closer. His eyes where the brightest gold I'd ever seen."My father never liked me. He bullied me constantly. I was never good enough for him. What's your story? I'm Goldenflame."

"My name is Blossomfall. I guess my story is that my sister lost the use of her legs. Now my mother thinks I'm a useless piece of foxdung. Everything is about her. She needs more food, Briarlight is perfect to her, well, broken spine aside. But I'm ignored. My father rarely speaks," I said. I wrapped my tail around my feet. "He's suffered so much. But he just sits! My mother hovers over the one daughter she cares for, but he goes through a normal life, and never talks!" I sighed.

"Well. They aren't here. They wouldn't be." said Goldenflame. "But I try to help those like me. The ones our Clan ignores. Here, why don't I introduce you to the cats here. Ratscar should be around somewhere…" He walked off into the forest.

I padded after him. This was starting to sound good. Ivypaw's comment about extra battle practice made sence. She'd been coming here!

In the morning I woke up. Everything hurt, and I was bleeding. But not much. I licked my fur, and most of the blood came off easily. Dispite what Ratscar had done to me, I was going back. Even if it meant being hurt every night. Ivypaw had stopped Ratscar. "No use killing a perfectly good apprentice on her first visit." She'd said. I'd go back. I'd get better at fighting. I'd show Millie in anyway I could. And maybe one day she'd love me. Or fear me. As long as she knew I was alive more often than when she pointing out my flaws.

I would show them all.

AN: I hoped you enjoyed it. There aren't many Blossomfall fics, and she's one of my favorites. Please tell me your thoughts.
