Theme 1:Introduction
Ferb was unsure how to feel when his father told him that he would be meeting his new family today. For the past year and an half his father had been the only family that Ferb considered, besides his mom but she had run off and left them, so she didn't really count.
After his mother had left they had moved away from England to the states for a fresh start. It wasn't just for Ferb, it was his father. How many times had Ferb found his father just sitting on the couch with a blank face and a beer in his hand? More times than the little boy could remember. There, they could leave the mess the woman who was Ferb's mother started behind.
There Ferb's father worked hard for his son so he could be happy. Despite the fact that Ferb would've been just fine if his father worked less and was home more, but the boy was smart for his age and understood what his father was trying to do and appreciated it.
Then his father had met her again. The two had been a couple at one time but had broken up when his father had moved back to England. Now it was years later and they were both getting over the fact that they were now single parents raising their children. One thing led to another and they ended up dating and eventually deciding to get married.
Ferb held his father's hand as they walked into the house. He looked away when his father and his stepmother-to-be kissed and then was led again into the living room.
"Ferb, these are my children: Candace, who will be your big sister, and Phineas, who will be your little brother."
Candace was a girl with red hair like her mother who had a wide smile at the thought of having a new sibling.
When Ferb went to look at Phineas, he was surprised by the sudden hug he received from the smaller boy.
The red haired triangle shaped head boy smiled brightly at his new brother.
"I just know we're gonna be best friends!"
And with that, Ferb knew he was going to be okay.
