Confiese su amor

It was a gorgeous morning filled with sunshine in L.A. It could be stormy and gray, and Jimena wouldn't mind it one bit. The foamy waves lapped around her toes as she curled them into the sand. She shaded her eyes from the sun and gazed out into the Pacific Ocean. Her boyfriend was leaning forward on his board, riding a wave. She could see his long white-blond hair whipping around his shoulders. "Ay! Collin!" Jimena yelled, waving. Collin looked up, his tanned, handsome face breaking into a large grin as he spotted her. He gave a small wave, not wanting to lose his concentration and wipe out.
Jimena waited for Collin for come to shore. She felt happy to see Collin. He had been in Hawaii for a week to surf. Jimena had been counting the days until he would come back. She was wearing a red and black baseball tee with a jean skirt that came down a little past her knees. Her soft black hair hung loose. Collin came closer to the shore and laid himself down on his board. He started paddling in the water, grasping his board beneath him. Jimena ran through the sand and waded quickly into the water, not caring about getting her clothes wet.
They met in a deep hug. "Jimena," Collin whispered, and he kissed her cheek. His lips sent sweet shivers right down to the bottom of her toes. After a few moments, they reluctantly pulled part. "I missed you," they said at the same time, and laughed. "Next time take me with you," Jimena told Collin, only half-joking. "Sounds good. I'll pack you in my suitcase," Collin answered, running a hand through his hair. Collin then took her hand and they walked out of the water together, his surfboard under his arm. Jimena picked up her sandals and put them back on.
They walked towards Collin's beat-up van that was parked off the Pacific Coastal highway. Collin put his board into the back of the van and closed the door. Jimena opened the door and got in the passenger's side. The inside of the van smelled like wax and surfboards. Jimena reached over and clasped Collin's hand once more. His hands were callused, strong and still a bit wet from the ocean. She couldn't get enough of his touch. It had been only a week, and she had missed him so much it ached inside.
Jimena never thought she could care about someone so much again now that Veto was gone. "Collin," Jimena said, breaking the comfortable silence filling the van. Collin looked at her. His blue eyes were so beautiful that her breath caught in her throat. "Te amo, con todo mi corazón," she whispered, meaning every word she said. Collin's eyes widened slightly. "I love you, too," Collin replied, and leaned over to kiss her. When their lips touched, she knew that the only place on Earth she wanted to be at that moment was right there with Collin.
