Hello all! This is a divergence from my usual fluffy and slashy Shield stories but I love it all the same. It's sort of a look at the Shield through my own eyes. After Payback tonight (Or last night,whatever, it's like 2:45 in the morning so I'm not gonna be picky about how I phrase this. XP) this just spilled out of me because my Shield feels were on high. Watching these boys do what they love every week makes me so happy and I just wanted to put how I see the Shield into words.

They are three wolves.

Three unique characters.

The first is full of boundless energy that is coupled with a mind as quick as a whip; he is willing to take any risk if it means helping the team. He takes to the sky like he was born to be there but can easily match the largest of opponents from the ground as well. He cares deeply for his partners but will not hesitate to put them in their place if need be. He is the glue and the backbone of the group.

The second is more of the eccentric sort; he behaves wildly, some would say he's a bit crazy, and will take any opportunity he can get in order to obtain a win. His face is usually a mask of unique facial expressions but when he smiles you can see just how much he loves what he does. His loud words and bravado are his foremost weapons aside from his cunning and he wields them far better than anyone else could; he uses them as a means to strengthen the team and spread their message. He is known as the wild card, often said to be the one most likely to betray the others, but he never would because he values their friendship and teamwork too much to let it go.

The last is quiet and strong, the power of the team. While he is the most naturally gifted of the group many have doubted his true merit, but never his partners. They took him under their wing, both more than willing to teach him and he more than willing to learn, and as he's started garnering attention they haven't become jealous, instead they are proud of him. He doesn't care what people think of him, of how they label him, he only cares for the mark that they will leave in history together. For him nothing matters more than his partners and their teamwork.

They are all bound together by one purpose.

The singular goal of three men to be the best.

They don't ask for power or position, they take it.

They don't bow to the old rules: they make new ones.

They work their hardest day in and day out purely because they love what they do.

They're all willing to sacrifice everything for each other.

They will bleed for each other and have on many occasions.

One will defend the others even when he has no strength left to defend himself.

They will go to war to defend the honor of their team.

No matter how many times they get knocked down they'll get right back up and try even harder than before.

They are not controlled and they will not be controlled.

They are not bad nor good, they just are.

They are brothers bound by their oath to uphold justice each and every night; an oath they keep through their determination and loyalty to one another.

They are the Hounds of Justice.

They are the Shield.

And this is only the beginning for them.
