Blaise Zabini smirked as he felt her gaze settle on him from the Gryffindor table. He had known for a while that she had had a crush on him. He would flirt with her sometimes to get her to come after him, but he never played easy. He always played hard to get. It made him feel better and made him sure of how good looking and fantastic he was. If he played easy, who was going to want him? Draco Malfoy didn't play easy either.
Ginny Weasley. She was beautiful. There was no denying it. Pale skin. Blue eyes. Red hair. She was a pretty devil.
He. Blaise Zabini. Was handsome. Duh. Who would deny that? Dark skin. Brown eyes. Black hair. He was a handsome angel.
The two of them together would make the best couple in the whole entire school. The devil and the angel. But he didn't want to look too easy for her. Other people would have thought that he had fallen dead in her boy trap.
For a couple of months he had made her think that she had finally got him. The kisses on the cheek. The presents. The flowers. The dates. But after those couple of months, something went terribly wrong. She didn't seem interested in him anymore. She was slowly drifting away, far far away from him.
Blaise had had a couple of chances to get her. He had opportunities to kiss her on the lips too. The first had been by the Black Lake just before curfew. The teachers had called them in so he had stopped. The second had been in the Green House. He had made an excuse of wobblepees (They didn't even exists) biting his shoes. The third had been the Astronomy tower. He had pretended to fall asleep as they watched the sun set together. Fourth the library. Studying was his excuse. Fifth... Sixth... Tenth... But he had let them slip and Draco Malfoy had taken them all.
Blaise Zabini couldn't believe that he had chosen the longer road instead of the shorter one to get Ginny Weasley. His pride and ego had gotten in the way, that was for sure. Otherwise, why would she be with Draco Malfoy snogging in the corner right at this moment in the library? His show of pride and ego hadn't been bought by Ginny.
He was mad at himself. What was he supposed to do and say now that the best thing that had ever happened to him had walked passed him? Where was he supposed to go and how was he going to know if she still wanted him?
He had thought that Draco Malfoy would play hard to get. He had thought that he was stupid. But for the first time, Blaise had been wrong. Draco hadn't been stupid enough to let the best thing ever slip through his fingers, he had went straight for it and held on.
He smiled weakly as he saw her walk passed him, hands clasped onto Draco's with a smile on her face.
Draco gave him a curt nod and his infamous Malfoy smirk as the couple disappeared around the corner. Just as they were about to disappear, Draco mouthed, 'See ya in an hour or so'.
Blaise sighed. Thinking about it now, Ginny was like rain.
When it rained, the raindrops fell everywhere. Catching all of the drops and putting them together was difficult. That was Ginny Weasley to him. She was like rain.
A/N First Ginny/Blaise. Was it nice? Please tell me what you think. Flames are accepted
