Hello, guys! This is a brand-new, Percy Jackson FanFic that I hope you all will love. Although and I are still working on "Bound by Prophecy," I'd still like to come up with more scenarios of the lives of all our favourite characters! So, enjoy, comment!
Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
Chapter One: The Reunion
Annabeth's Point of View
As we landed at the very edge of the Roman camp, all I could think of was Percy. He'd been gone for what seemed forever, even if it was just six months. He was my boyfriend, after all, and I saw it as my duty to find and receive him. The others in my troop, Leo, Piper, Jason, and Butch, had all crowded on the portside, staring dreamily into the sea. I suspected they were thinking about the future too, since none of them had spoken most of the morning.
I was the first to set foot on enemy territory. A mass formation had fallen in on the beach, all arranged by their ranking and uniforms. But one person stood out, and he stood at the very front wearing a purple cape. Percy. But next to him, much to my chagrin was a girl of about eighteen. She had long, curly brown hair and matching eyes. She had a look on her face that was not welcoming. Percy smiled his freckled grin, his green eyes shining despite the lack of direct sunlight. I couldn't help but run into his arms.
I heard gasps as we embraced, but it soon fell short as I turned and saw Jason locked in a hug with the brunette. I could almost sense Piper's dismay. She had really liked Jason. And Leo, his grin was from ear to ear. He was happy for his best friend. I looked up at Percy, who still smelled like the sea. He kissed me heartedly despite the crowd. But it all was short lived. Almost as soon as we had gotten there, the brunette, whom I learned was named Reyna (odd that that sounded familiar?), called us to an assembly. I wasn't sure what that was, but I knew it had to be important.
"Annabeth Chase, Percy Jackson, Jason Grace, Leo Valdez, Piper McLean, and Hazel Levesque shall take on the great quest," she began.
"Haha, that rhymed." Chimed Leo from behind. I heard Reyna sigh.
"We must defeat Gaea, at the risk of our own worlds' destruction," she continued, her dark eyes on Jason, who didn't return the gaze. "We may not trust you Greeks, but according to the Great Prophecy, we haven't a choice." I kind of felt sorry for the young praetor. She had bags under her eyes, and although young, probably had seen more things than ever we other demigods. And, dismissing us, she finished, "Prepare for battle at dawn."
