Sasuke glanced at the enemies from behind the huge rock that was covering them.
"Damnit, we're gonna die if this continues,"
Suddenly he felt a hand grasp his.
The sharingan wielder quickly turned his head/
"You!" Sasuke gasped.
Sakura put a finger on her lips, signaling to be quiet.
"Come with me." She whispered.
"Why should I trust you? We are on opposite sides remember?" Sasuke glared at her.
Sakura furrowed her eye brows. "Just trust me. Even bring your team mates for all I care, just follow me!"
Jugo placed a hand on Sasuke's shoulder and looked at him with pleading eyes. "Please Sasuke, we don't have a choice. Suigetsu is practically dying and Karin is almost drained of her chakura. Lets get out of here while we still can."
The Uchiha was silent for a bit, it was true that they were vulnerable right now and could be easily captured or killed if they stuck around any longer. But on the other hand, Sakura could be luring them to a trap as well. Even if it was Sakura. But still...
"Alright, but if I even sense you try to betray me, I will kill you."
"Okay, just hurry up already!" Sakura rushed.
With their hands still entwined Sakura pulled him up and began running into the direction she had came from. Jugo followed behind closely while he carried Karin and Suigetsu other his shoulders.
They had stopped just a few miles away from the fight and were now hiding in a forest full of trees.
"Suigetsu needs water, fast. I'll go get it." Jugo announced running off somewhere.
Sasuke stared at Sakura's back as she tried to catch her breath. What was she trying to pull? If Konoha was planning to capture him, why weren't they doing so right now while he was weak?
"Why did you help us?"
Sakura turned around and stared deeply into his onyx eyes.
"So, you did forget didn't you..." It wasn't a question.
"Forget what?"
The kunoichi approached him slowly until their feet were almost touching.
"That night, when you left. I told you I would do anything, for you. That includes saving you, even if you are the enemy now." Sakura leaned in closer.
"...but why?" their faces were just an inch away.
"....because I still love you more than anything in the world." And with that, she kissed him.
