SMACK!
The crowbar came down again, and Jason's pain traveled to his upper shin, but he barely noticed. He had multiple cracked and broken ribs, but he couldn't feel them. He was too shocked by what was happening. He had lost. He had been betrayed by his own mother. The wielder of the instrument crackled that horrible laugh out of his blood red lips, interrupting his thoughts, and the dumb witch giggled along with him. "Hit him again, Puddin'! He's still twitching!" she shouted. Nearby, his mother stood with tears in her eyes, trying to look away.
I hope he hurts you when he's done here. You deserve it, Jason thought. And yet, no matter how much he said that in his head, after all she did, he couldn't get himself to believe it. This did all start because of her. As Jason received another blow to his head, causing darkness to overcome his eyesight, memories returned to him of how he got where he is. His mom, Catherine, was a drug addict, and died when he was young. His father, Willis Todd, made too many mistakes, and got mixed up with the wrong people, and ended up face down in a gutter. The future seamed dim, until one day, someone found him. The Batman. And he became Robin.
About a week ago, he was wondering around Crime Ally after a mission with the boss, when he all of a sudden heard a shout from above. He looked upwards, locating the source of the voice, Mrs. Walker, an old friend of his parents. She gave him some things that she found that belonged to his parents. He soon found a birth certificate. His, and a shocking revelation came with it. Catherine was not his mother. He managed to track his real mother to an aid worker, Sheila Haywood, in Ethiopia. Coincidently, Batman tracked the Joker to a nearby location. At least, they thought it was a coincidence.
While Batman was out, Jason decided that he would reveal his alter ego to his mother. When he did, she acted very excited, and dragged him to a nearby warehouse. To Jason's surprise, not only his mom was waiting for him, but also the Joker and Harley Quinn. His mom was a thug. He was so shocked that he barley fought back, earning him to his current predicament.
Another blow drilled into his gut, and blood spat out his mouth.
Great. Looks like I've burst a lung.
One last blow caused him to black out again. This time, he didn't get up.
"Looks like he's out of battery's, puddin'," Harley Quinn said sadly.
"The fun's not over yet! We still have the fireworks to look forward to," Joker replied with a sneer, causing Harley to let out a cheerful "EEE!" Joker pointed at Sheila. "Tie her up." Jason's mom tried to run, but was stopped by Harley's foot in her face. Harley tied her to a pillar, while Joker set the explosive. "Sorry, babe! Can't have anyone blabbing to the Bat about the bird getting clipped, you understand, right?" She struggled and kicked, to no avail. "See you soo- whopes! HAHAHAHAHAHA!" And he closed the door behind him...
