Don't die! Please don't die. Listen to me. Please! , she yelled. She was panting as if she had just run a thousand miles, her eyes turned red, tears rolled over her cheeks and she could feel her golden locks sticking over her wet cheeks.
''I promised my dad, from tomorrow onwards I will not wear this mask", he said pointing towards the dark blue fabric that covered his face.
"See! I told you your dad abhors that mask but you never listen to-
"It's just because he thinks I am too young to hide my face", he chuckled.
"Whatever. I am looking forward to see your beautiful face. You know, you look cute without that thing on."

Next day
Daddy... Daddy. Where are you? Look I am going to the academy sans the mask, he yelled as he ran across the house in elation.
Where are y- He could not speak any further. He stood still, absolutely still. His mask-less face had a deadpan expression and he could feel tears welling up his eyes.
It wasn't your mistake. Stop blaming yourself. Rin, Obito are surely watching you. Even your dad.
She held his one of his hand and squeezed it a little. then she looked in his eyes and gave a slight nod to him, he nodded back at her, as if they were able to understand what the other meant to say.

huh, he said, congratulate minato sensei not me.

This pulled her out of her thoughts and she was brought back to the reality. She could feel her eyes burning because of the tears. She looked at Kakashi's corpse and started speaking subconsciously.
We have been together for like, more than twenty years, I know you consider me as your closet friend but it has not been long since I started thinking of you as someone more than a best friend. You are very important to me ,kakashi. I don't know how or why, but I love you.
