The young man was standing on the ledge of the highest cliff he could find. He was staring down at the rocks below with was going to do something that would let him escape this life of pain and torture. For the last four years of his life he was bullied by the kids at his school. They didnt make fun of his weight or his glasses or anything like that. They made fun of his faith.
"I will be with you soon my father." the teen spoke out with the silent tears pouring from his eyes.
"Not if you do this." came a reply from behind him.
Turning the teen saw a man with long auburn hair and a goatee and was wearing a snowhite coat and jeans.
"What do you mean. Ive done everything the Lord has put before me. Yet im persecuted for my beliefs." the teen spoke with a shakey voice.
"They persecuted him first." Came the man's reply that stunned the teen in to silence.
"I..What can I do. Im unloved by people who were my friends. Noone would care if I was not even around." The teen spoke as he dropped to his knees the tears that he held back for so long were free to flow freely from his eyes down his cheeks and on to the ground.
"You are loved. I am your friend John. I have watched over you since you were born. I knew you before your mother and father before your classmates." The man spoke gently as he came and kneeled before the young man.
John looked up and saw the bluest eyes he had ever seen. While he took in the man before him he noticed the holes in his hands as he looked back to his face.
"Never forget my child that just because you may not see me I am with you. I was with you when you were born and I will be with you when you join me at my father's side. "
John did the only thing he could think of he lounged foward and wrapped his arms around his savior and cried like he was a new born again.
The man wrapped him in his arms and held him as the teen poured out his heart. "Do not worrie for your reward will be great in heaven. But you must not do this...I have such wonderfull plans for you. You need to finsh my work."
John nodded his head againest the chest of Jesus as he spoke. "Will I see you again?"
Jesus laughed and smiled at the teen and spoke in a caring voice. "I will be with you all the days of your life. I will guide you through your journey."
John smiled as the burden and hardship that he felt of his life melt away as he noticed he was alone on the cliff side.
Standing up John looked around and he smiled as he began his desent from the cliff to his car. It would be a long time before John would meet his savior again but he would life his life the best way he could.
The End
