"There's something in the air, something's coming" said the doctor, looking up at the sky.
"What?" Rose asked.
"A storm's approaching" the doctor said.
Rose huddled closer to him, terrified by the thought of losing him. Suddenly, the doctor pulled away and said "Rose, I'll meet you in the TARDIS. Enjoy the fireworks for a minute or two, K?"
Rose let him go and stared up into the sky. All she knew was that whatever came, she needed to remember how absolutely in love she was in this moment, with the doctor. She needed to remember what true happiness felt like. The firework display had ended, so Rose went back into the TARDIS. She closed the door and turned around, and the TARDIS had been transformed.
It was dark with thousands of candles flickering, and there were rose petals scattering the floor. The doctor then emerged from the shadows, with tears in his eyes and his hands in his pockets.
"Did you do this?" Rose asked, astonished.
"Weeeell, with a little help from the old girl" the doctor replied, giving the TARDIS a gentle pat. "The thing is Rose; I don't know how long we have left together, you and I."
"What? What are you talking about?" Rose said, starting to cry.
"Hey, hey, don't cry Rose, I didn't say I was losing you anytime soon" the doctor said, wrapping his pink and yellow human up in his arms and resting his chin on her hair. He kissed the top of her head and continued,
"All I'm saying is that I want you to know how I feel before it's too late. You, Rose Tyler, deserve to hear me say it. Even if it's just once"
Rose looked up at him, and smiled. "Allonsy" she said with a grin.
He beamed back at her, and then his expression became serious once more.
"Rose, you saved me. You made me better, and when I thought that I was all alone in the universe, you proved me wrong. I've told you so many times that you're different from the others, and it's true".
He stroked her cheek with a small smile and tucked her hair behind her ear.
"I love you, Rose. More than I've ever loved anyone or anything. But it's more than that. I'm in love with you. Oh God Rose, I'm so in love with you" he finished. He scooped her up in his arms and kissed her with so much passion he almost exploded.
When the doctor put her down, and they were breathing heavily against one another, she softly replied,
"I love you too doctor".
