It was good to see Dean finally sitting upright in bed, even propped on every pillow they had, his heavily bandaged arm carefully supported.
He was still way too pale but thanks to Chain & Fleming his fever was broken and the worrying flush was gone from his cheeks.
Sam carried the small bowl of soup over to the bed.
"Hungry?"
Dean nodded sleepily and Sam pretended not to notice how much the older man's hand shook as he took the spoon.
"Let me help..."
Sam smiled and watched eyes close as exhaustion claimed his sibling.
"I'll warm it later, bro!"
