Just a little something I wrote. Nothing too important.

You know what is important? Reading Tainted Fal'Cie by Tear of Light. Go on, it's on my favourites; I won't be offended.

"Light? You up here?"

Lightning opened her eyes and turned her head to the right. Fang was trying to pull herself onto the wet roof, her hands scrabbling on the tiles for any kind of purchase to haul herself up. After a few seconds of mild amusement Lightning finally offered the Pulsian a helping hand. Now safely on the rain soaked roof, Fang sat down next to the pink haired woman.

"We're all worried about you, Light." Fang said quietly, breaking the silence.

A small huff escaped Lightning's lips. "Is it too much to be left alone for five minutes, all I wanted was a bit of peace."

Fang gestured wildly with her arm, the other slipping around Lightning's shoulder. "So you decided to come out here in the pouring rain. Great plan Light; hide for a bit, catch a cold and make us all worry even more. So tell Big Sis Fang what's wrong."

Fang's eyebrows rose when Lightning giggled slightly. If you weren't looking for it, you would have missed the slight noise and movement. "Big Sis? Where did that come from?"

"Isn't it obvious? I'm the big sister that looks after everyone. You're the middle child that has loads of problems that she doesn't want to let anyone help her with. That leaves Vanille and Serah as the baby twins we have to look after."

"That is remarkably accurate. Where do the others fit in?" Lightning asked, her interest piqued.

Fang waved a hand airily. "Don't know. Don't care. All I care about is you three." Fang's arm that had previously been resting gently tightened and pulled Lightning into a headlock. Her free hand rested on top of Lightning's damp head. " So are you going to tell me what's wrong or not."

"Gah! Let go Fang or else." Lightning threatened. Try as she might, she was unable to get out of the much stronger woman's grip.

"Or else what?" Fang retorted. Her hand clenched into a fist. A grin crossed her face as she rubbed the top of Lightning's head, causing the younger woman to squeal and wriggle. "Tell me and I'll stop."

In between fits of giggling and attempts to free herself from the iron grip of Fang, Lightning managed to say. "Nothing's wrong, I'm just a bit down."

Fang stopped giving Lightning a noogie instantly and just looked at her younger 'sister'. "That's it? You ran off and scared everyone because you had the blues? Did you not learn anything from the last thousand times you just wandered off without telling anyone?"

Lightning squeezed the bridge of her nose and sighed. "I just wanted some time to myself. So much has happened to us recently and I have really been able to sift through it in my head."

"I'm sorry, I didn't reali-"

"Forget it Fang."

"No you wanted to be on your own and I-"

"Fang." Lightning grabbed Fang's shoulder, her grip nearly failing because of the beads of water that rested there. "It's okay. Let's just go inside."

Lightning stood up first, and offered a hand to Fang that was gratefully taken. Once Fang had dropped to the ground Lightning's smile faltered and he rested a hand on her stomach, right over her brand. There wasn't much time left on the sinister tattoo. Replacing her mask, Lightning jumped off the roof and landed neatly next to Fang, executing a double flip on the way down. Old habits die hard.
