A/N: A little KaiRin thing. Kaito is a complete idiot who is self-esteemless and Rin is... yeah. You get the idea. I'll consider it a drabble. It is written in Present Tense on purpose, by the way. I do not own the Vocaloids.
Kaito has tears running down his slightly reddened face, breathing raggedly in a mixutre of gasps and hiccups. He feels hurt, betrayed. He promised himself to Rin, he never did lie, so why was Rin being so mean? He loves her, honest. His tiny, idiotic brain cannot comprehend the reason behind Rin's growing jealousy. The sobbing continues.
He holds up the ring childishly, hoping, maybe, just a bit, Rin will forgive him for whatever he did with his idiocy. It was a promise ring. He promised never to hurt her and cheat on her, and he would darn well keep that promise.
His voice comes out broken and hurt when he asks, "Why.. does Rin-chan hate me?"
Rin lets out a grimace, regretting her decision to fling the Promise Ring across the room, accusing him of cheating on her with Meiko. "I.. I don't."
Kaito holds up a hand to wipe his eye, overflowing with tears. "T-then.. will Rin-chan stop yelling at me?"
Yelling? Had she been yelling all along? She had never noticed her tone, she had just let her emotions out. It made her who she was. "I was NOT yelling!"
Kaito can't help but whimper when Rin's harsh tone meets his ears.
He messed up again.
