Sorrowful Goodbye

What she thought to be the worst to happen, happened. She tried to except it, but her tears proved it was difficult. After hearing the terrible news, she ran quickly, to the bridge. A final goodbye was all she desired. She waited patiently, for him to arrive, her tears had dried up and she was ready to face him. He ran half way over the bridge before she cries out "I knew one day you'd leave" he turned around to see her standing, quite calmly, he did not know she had been crying. "Saria? What are you doing out here?" he asked "Link… I had a feeling soon you'd be leaving us, your home in the forest" she said as her tears began to fall again. "Saria, please don't cry! I promise I'll come back one day!" he said, smiling and trying to comfort her. She knew he meant it, and that's what hurt, for she could not explain why she was so upset to see him go. "Link… I cannot tell you how much it hurts to see you leave this forest, I know you'll come back but by then it'll be to late to say." she smiles and looks up "what do you mean?" he asked "one day you'll know. But for know, all I can say is…" she paused for a while. "I knew when I saw you all those years ago, you'd never be with us forever. My heart goes to you and only you, Link. And that's why it hurts" she explained, her tears running down her cheeks. He grabs her hand and says "my heart goes to you and only you" she pulls away and starts to smile. "here" she whispers, she pulled out an ocarina from the other hand "I want you to take it! It may come in useful and… I want you to remember me" he looks into her eyes and see's a green glow he had not seen in her eyes before, he takes the ocarina out of her hand and says "with or without the ocarina, do you really think I'd ever forget you, Saria?" he leans in and gives her a kiss on her cheek. Before she had time to say goodbye, he ran off. She watched him leave and whispers "goodbye Link, I'll never forget you" the words repeating in her head "my heart goes to you and only you…"
