A/N: New Year's themed One-shot because the world needs more Frazel. ;)

Disclaimer: I don't own PJO.

It is 11:59 on New Year's Eve and everyone was gathered in Piper's dad's living room. The demigods had decided to celebrate New Year's together. The couples: Percy and Annabeth, Jason and Piper, Leo and Calypso, were all waiting for the clock to strike twelve.

Frank stood next to Hazel. They weren't together yet, but Frank hoped by this time next year, they would be waiting for midnight so they could carry out the tradition as much as the others. When the clock finally announced the New Year, everybody cheered for about two seconds before their mouths were otherwise occupied. Frank felt a tug on his shirt and looked down to see Hazel looking up at him. He leaned down a little to listen to what she had to tell him. He was surprised when he felt her lips press against his.

Startled, Frank stood there while his brain chanted 'She's kissing me! She's kissing me!'

Then Hazel pulled away and he immediately realized he should have kissed her back. He made a move toward her, but she turned around and ran away from him before he was close enough.

Frank just stood there, surprised. He had seen tears in her eyes when she had turned away from him.

Dully, Frank realized that all of his friends were watching him now. Percy and Leo looked like they didn't know whether to laugh or be worried (probably about Hazel). Surprisingly, it was Jason who helped Frank out of his little trance by flicking his eyes between Frank and the direction Hazel had gone.

Frank took the hint and started running down the hallway Hazel had taken. "Hazel, wait!"

Frank ran down the hallway to Hazel's room. Piper's house was so big that each person got their own room to use while they were staying with her. When Frank reached the door, he saw that the light was on and the door was slightly open.

Softly, Frank knocked on the door and let himself in. Her room looked almost exactly the same as his. There is a bed in one corner and a desk in another with a small suitcase underneath it. Hazel was standing in the middle of the room with her back to him.

"Hazel?" Frank said, resting his hand on her shoulder gently.

Hazel turned around and Frank could see her red eyes. "I am so sorry," Hazel began. "I-I just th-thought th-that"

Frank engulfed her in a hug as she sobbed. "Shh…it's okay Hazel." Frank said a little uneasily as he ran one hand through her hair. When Hazel stopped crying, Frank gently picked her up and sat on the edge of her bed. He put her in his lap with her head resting on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry I didn't react, you startled me, that's all." Frank whispered in her ear.

Hazel let out a small sigh. "At least you didn't turn into a chameleon." There was a hint of amusement in her voice, which let Frank know that she was teasing and feeling better.

"Well, don't give me any ideas, I still might." Frank said, only partly kidding. Hazel smiled. "Or…" Frank said, grinning to himself. "I could turn into a bear and eat you!" Frank playfully growled in her ear as he tightened his grip on her. Frank tickled her and Hazel squealed and laughed so hard she snorted. Frank stopped and chuckled. "I didn't know you snorted. Do you do that a lot?" Frank saw a light blush appear on her face.

"Sometimes?"

Frank looked at her golden eyes and leaned forward slowly until his lips lightly brushed hers. He smiled. "You are absolutely adorable." Frank whispered and closed what little distance there was left.

A/N: Cute? That's what I thought.
