Kyra walked out of the house that she would forever call home. As she climbed on her bike in the darkness of night she thought about the letter she had left her mother and father. She hoped that they could understand her choice to become a pokemon trainer without school or money like her mother which is why she never understood the feeling she had for her Growlithe. Her mother never understood how much she had cared for her. Her mother should have known she would be running away from home since the moment that she asked Kyra to give up Growlithe and go to a Pokemon academy for her badges. She was going to make sure her parents didn't ruin this.
She stopped her thoughts as she pulled by the back of a house to get her friend Gabe who was sitting on the lawn.
"You took long enough" he whispered as she pushed back his short brown hair and got on his bike near the fence that already had his bag and things on it. "Being around you is going to get me in trouble." he added as he handed me a Pokedex. "You actually found a way to get one for me??" Said Kyra. Just as she was about to hug him he stopped her and said "Yeah be grateful I stool it for you. Now you owe me."
"Oh please" Kyra said as they road off together out of there obscure town into the Kanto region. "You've stolen much more valuable things than a Pokedex." she stuck out her tongue and road faster; she was eager to get to the Kanto region before morning. " So what if I've stolen more valuable things. It still stealing. And it would be wrong… if I got caught." He responded as he sped past her quickly. "Besides do you know how hard it was to find a reprogram one? Some kid named Garret is going to be spending a long time explaining how he lost his Pokedex at 2 in the morning." He smiled at the thought of some kid having to suffer because of his wrongdoings. He wasn't exactly moral.
They rounded the trees finally after an hour or so of non-stop riding and found themselves in Pewter city."Well this is Pewter city, and that is as far as I will take you." Said Gabe as Kyra stopped and looked at the pokemon center. "C ya Gabe!" She said "Remember were going to meet up in Mount. Moon"
"Yea yea. Mount. Moon" He responded as road south towards Pallet town. "Just make sure you have more pokemon by then"
Kyra turned towards the pokemon center and went inside. "excuse me nurse joy?" she asked. It had taken them longer than she had wanted to get to pewter and she wound up making it there just as nurse joy had woken up.
"How make I help you young lady?" said nurse joy as she looked at Kyra's dark brown hair and green eyes. "Could you heal my Pokemon and tell me what time The Gym opens"
"Of course I could!" said nurse joy as she took both of Kyra's pokeballs that had Growlithe and Krabby. "The Gym is already open. Brock is a early riser."
After getting her Pokemon healed and eating she walked over to the pewter city Gym to see how hard this battle would be. She walked in the door and there stood Brock talking to some whining little kid in front of him. She was ready to interrupt their conversation when she heard the kid say "…And then I woke up and my Pokedex was gone Brock! Honest! I had it right there I swear I did you got to go tell Prof. Oak that I didn't just lose it like some little kid!!." Kyra wanted to just run out but when she heard Brock's reply she thought her feet were stuck to the floor. He said "Don't worry Garret. I will talk to him after im don't battling for th day. Don't worry"Garret moved away and Brock faced me and said "Are you here for a battle Kid"
