I'm aware… I know that this is just a "figure of speech" as you say. It means that a friend will help you when you need it, that they will be there for you if you stumble. That they will pull you back up and not let you go back down again. That they will do whatever it takes to keep you from falling again. That they will keep being there for you even when you, even when you don't really need them. Maybe they would help you dust yourself off?
I'm still not really used to having friends, but it might not even have to be a friend, or a family member, just someone that cares enough not to let you slam into the cold hard ground and scrape yourself.
The type of falling you are referring to is mostly metaphorical. It's not… It's not what I've gone through.
But…even knowing this…
I wish… I wish someone would catch me.
