Make It Shine
Mitchie Torres was back for yet another amazing summer at Camp Rock. After rocking out at the Final Jam last year, she had been begged to come back this year. She was glad to be back here again. She missed the beauty of the lake, and all her friends.
The first person she ran into was her BFF. Her and Mitchie had almost lost their friendship last year when Mitchie got caught up in her lie. But she was glad to be friends after all of that. Mitchie talked to her for a while, about all of the stuff that had been happening since the last summer, and all of the things that they planned to do. Then Mitchie said goodbye and went to find Shane.
Shane Gray was Mitchie's camp crush who also was crushing on her. They hadn't kept in touch over the school year because Shane was always busy with work. Shane was a star, he was the lead singer in the world famous band: Connect 3. Although they didn't talk much Mitchie was ready to start up a romance with Shane this summer.
Shane was sitting in his cabin with his brothers; Jason and Nate, when Mitchie walked in. Shane jumped up at the site of her.
"Shane!" She called out exited.
"Mitchie!" Shane was so happy to see her again. "Hey, although I didn't get to know you all that well last summer here at Camp Rock, will you go out with me? I really like you. You are my girl with the voice. Remember that?"
"Of course I'll go out with you. And of course I remember the girl with the voice. It was every girl's dream to be your girl with the voice."
After a long summer of dating, and drama, and tears, and ice cream pigouts, and kissing, Final Jam was here. This year, like the last, had the grand prize be a recording deal with Shane Gray. Mitchie was going to sing Make It Shine that one of her friends, Tori Vega, had sang to get her into Hollywood Arts High in L.A.
There were several acts in the show. Ella sang When You Wish Upon a Star, Tess sang an original song called Girl Power, Anna Margret sang Girl Thing from the movie Den Brother. All of them were really good. But it was finally Mitchie's turn to sing. She put all her soul into that song, yet she still didn't think she did all that well.
Brown took the stage. "Attention I have the winners for Final Jam. In third place, Ella!" Ella got her award. "In second place, Anna Margret!" Anna claimed her award. Now it was down to just Tess Tyler and Mitchie. Mitchie just knew she was going to lose. Tess was the best at the camp. There was no way she was going to beat Tess.
"And in first place, with the huge Final Jam cup, and the chance to record with Shane Gray...MITCHIE TORRES!"
Mitchie was in shock. She was pushed on to the stage by a smiling and actually happy Tess. Tess was really happy for Mitchie. Mitchie collected her award, got her kiss from Shane and a lot more. She became famous and really made it shine.
