Disclaimer: I don't own anything but the plot.

Pairings: x Hong Kong. New pairings may be added but that depends.

N/A: Finally I decided to start this new series ~\(≧▽≦)/~! Okay I just wanna depict the life of two international students and how they met each other, grew a special feeling towards each other, overcome the culture difference between them, and made their own decisions at the vital moment of their fate. I'm not sure whether there'll be happy ending but it is the process that really counts, right? To tell the truth, I NEVER gave these two guys bad ending! BTW, I named Hong Kong after Chris Wong cuz every HK child must learn how to write a letter to Chris Wong in their primary school (I got it from my HK net friends). If you're not happy with this name….anyway, enjoy it and review please!

The first time Chris Wong step onto the land of this continent, he imagined hundreds of thousands of possibilities that could happen in his life, but the advent of a guy called Im Yong Soo was not included in. Actually, even the most talented seer cannot predict that the Korean guy who impetuously crashed into Chris' life would steer the Hong Konger person's life towards a completely new direction in the near future.

Accurately, both Chris Wong and Im Yong Soo were international students who flew numerous miles from the other side of the world for pursuing their study and unrealized dreams. It sounded like a fairy tale, even if the reality was quite cruel sometimes.

As for Chris Wong, all he had got in the new country was merely two huge suitcases full of his passport and necessities. There was no friend, no relative, no acquaintance that he could rely upon here, needless to say a place to set his soul. What lay in the road of his mind was pure loneliness, seemingly never ending solitude, like a shadow hanging over the boy's world. Luckily, It was then that Im Yong Soo burst into Chris Wong's life and opened a new door, guiding that boy into a brighter and warmer way.

It was totally out of the blue.

At that point, Chris' mind was randomly wandering on the crowds. He wasn't that kind of good talker and never expressed his emotions too explicitly. To tell the truth, he really wanted to start a conversation with the guy beside him, but he was just too shy to open his mouth. And then, here came that guy.

"Hi, I'm Im Yong Soo, what about you?" The young Asian guy suddenly showed up in Chris' eyesight when all the students were standing outside the auditorium, waiting for upcoming orientation for freshman.

"Chris Wong." Only a short reply, but that was a good start.

"May I call you Chris? Just feel free to call me Yong Soo da ze! I come from Korea and I guess…you're Chinese or Japanese?" Warmth in his inky eyes gleamed like powder of diamonds.

"Em…accurately, I'm from Hong Kong. "

Yong Soo then broadened into a big smile, shook hand with his new schoolmate friendly and began to break the ice between them. He talked shared his feelings and experience in the new country with Chris and provided his contact details. It seemed that he really wanted to make a friend with the Hong Kong person. Inspired by Yong Soo's easygoing personality, Hong started to loosen his tongue.

"So you still haven't found the appropriate place to live? " Yong Soo widened his eyes and uttered in amazement, "You spent the past three days in Youth Hotel? That was too costly, you should have arranged your accommodation before you came da ze!"

Chris just shrugged and frowned at the very fact.

"Anyway, I've already rent a double room outside the campus. It's not far away from here and it's quite convenient to live cuz you've got supermarkets, groceries and restaurants there. The point is I can't afford the rent all by myself and I wanna find someone to share with me. I mean…"

"How much?"

Yong Soo whispered into Chris' ear and giggled, "Not too expensive, right? Why not come and join me?"

With hesitation and kind of disbelief, Chris nodded to Yong Soo though. The Korean guy burst into cheers and enthusiastically padded on Chris shoulder as if they were old buddies who hadn't seen each other for ages.

"Yeah, lucky originates in Korea da ze! I've got my new roommate!"

Chris was a bit disappointed with Yong Soo's reaction cuz the Hong Kong person wasn't good at getting on well with extroverted people. To be honest, these two guys were totally different from each other, to the point where how summer differed from winter. Yet sometimes opposites did attract, so who knew what was going to happen?

"I strongly recommend you to move in today! My landlord Alfred, okay, he's going to be OUR landlord. That guy has a car and we can help you carry the luggage, I bet he'll be happy to do you a favor da ze!" Delight ran over Yong Soo's face and the young guy was overjoyed at the new friend he just made.

Perhaps even tens of years passed by, Chris would still remember the moment when Yong Soo sparked out a shiny smile, held Chris' hand firmly and dragged him outside the teaching building. They just ran across the lawn, not noticing other's glances. The gold sunshine engulfed the two boys gently, flowing on their faces like melting butter.

Every time Chris reminisced about the scene, the desire to shed tears always welled up in his heart.

That was how they began.
