"Where are we?" asked Davis.
"I don't know. All I know is I'm tired and hungry." replied Kari.
The DigiDestineds had been walking for hours in the hot, dry Digiworld. No one knew where exactly they were but they knew they should have packed a lunch.
"What's that?" asked TK.
"Uh… What's what?" replied Yolei.
"That!" TK saw a large water fountain. He drooled to himself for a while and ran for it. He laughed to himself thinking 'The faster I get there, the more water I get to drink.'
"I don't know what he's running for. All I see is a bunch of dirt." Kari said to the rest of the kids. Only TK could see the water fountain. He smiled.
"Yahoo!" He jumped up and landed head first… in the ground. "It was there! I saw just a second ago."
"TK. You must have seen a mirage. There's nothing here for at least the next few miles." Kari said.
"Wait. What's that?" TK asked.
"Not again." said Kari.
"No really, I see something, too." Cody said.
"Me, too." said Davis.
"Me three… or would it be four?" Yolei stood there, thinking to herself.
"Let's go!" yelled Davis.
They all started running. About a mile after they were there. A Digimon city! They ran around town a while and there it was. A restaurant!
"Let's eat!" yelled Kari. They all ran inside. "Wait! Who has money?" asked Kari. Every sighs.
"Hey, you looking for free food? There's a soup kitchen down the road," said a voice. The kids looked up. It was the Digimon emperor!
"Ken?" Yolei exclaimed.
"Yeah, it's me. Ever since I came back to the Digiworld with Wormon, I decided that I'd help restore what I did. But to get supplies for the building, I knew I'd need money. So I got a job here." Ken said. "Did you call me?" another familiar voice said. Kari knew who it was when she heard it. TK seemed to of, too. It was Wormon! He walked out from the kitchen.
"Oh hi" he said.
"Hey Wormon, nice to see you again." The kids said.
"Well, we were just here and" Cody said. Something slammed through the wall. "Ah!"
There was another Digimon there. An evil one. It looked at Ken. "There you are" it said. It was MarineDevimon! It swiped at Ken. "This is what you get for even being born.
"He's changed!" Yolei yelled to MarineDevimon. "Stop now!"
"Oh yeah, he changed." MarineDevimon said while trying to hit Ken. "In a million years!" He hit Ken. Ken flew across the room and hit the wall. "Wormon!" he yelled. Wormon tried to hit by just whacking it with its tail.
"He's too weak!" yelled Yolei. "Come on Hawkmon!"
"Hawkmon Armor Digivolve to… Halsemon!"
"Patamon Digivolve to… Angemon! Let's go!" he said.
Halsemon tried to attack but MarineDevimon hit him with no problem. "Hand of fate!" yelled Angemon. A beam shot out of his hand. MarineDevimon simply dodged it. MarineDevimon swiped at Ken once again.
"Watch out!" yelled TK. He dived at Ken letting both of them dodge the hand. "That's it!" he yelled.
"Angemon Digivolve to…MagnaAngemon!" He hit MarineDevimon without much strength but MarineDevimon didn't take it as a weak hit. It made him fly far. MagnaAngemon returned to Patamon form.
"Nice job Patamon." TK said while smiling.
"Thank you. It really thought I wasn't going to make. You saved my life, TK. And I'm sorry for what I have done in the past. I hope you will forgive me," said Ken. He walked away.
"Your welcome, Ken!" TK yelled to Ken.
"Let's go home now," said Kari.
