Mark led me to where M&M was , but I couldn't believe it . I had heard of these hippie places before , but never seen one . I looked around and saw a 1967 Volkswagen Bus parked with flowers and lyrics painted on it , ono the dried out yellow grass on the side of this two story , multi-colored house . I quickly walked inside fearing that M&M could be in some sort of danger . As I walked in there was this teenage girl , laying on the kitchen table with her head hanging off and her long wavy blonde hair swaying along with the top half of her body . I'd seen a couple kids like this in my neighborhood before . She was on the "acid" as they called it . Mark asked this girl , who quickly got up to dance with Mark , where M&M was . She grabbed a marker that was on the floor and drew a black heart on Mark's cheek , then called him "Kitty" , and Mark responded to this quite normally . It accured to me this did not strike him as the least bit odd . I ignored the fact at the time though and continued to listen to this girl , who lead us into the living room where there was 10 more teens even more out of it than she was . She took us upstairs where she lead us to M&M whom was now being called "moonchild". I ran to him once I saw his dark hair , only to be stopped by their so called "leader" who was named "modern sunshine", and smelt of smoke , and dirt . I did not know what to make of this place , I felt so unsure of what I was supposed to do . I got to M&M whom was siting curled up in the corner of the room crying . I approached him , and he started to explain how he tried some LSD . He suddenly started shaking uncontrollably . He said he was an orange and that if anyone touched him his juices would spill out on the floor . He cried because he said once he was a banana and someone stepped on him , but Modern Sunshine had him be "reborn" .
