A Lament For Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded
A/N: This is a very short poem about the underused Avatar Menu from the DS game, Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded. A pet peeve of mine is that whenever developers make a handheld game, they assume there are dozens of people near your house that will also buy the game and will have it on sleep mode as they walk around, or will be willing to play with you directly (this is the whole premise of Nintendo's Streetpass mechanic). This is almost never the case, and it results in a lot of underused parts of games. Luckily, the Avatar Menu doesn't impact the main storyline of Re: Coded at all, but I felt someone needed to mourn that lost potential. So, without further ado, here's a short poem where all the lines rhyme the same way. Reviews are appreciated!

When Square's HQ at Zanzibar
Announced Re: Coded's Avatar,
They claimed you could become a star
By delving dungeons really far.
But with mechanics as they are,
Other players lived too far;
You could only get an Avatar
If you left home and searched by car.
So, no one used their Avatar,
And no one dressed in Leon's scar,
Or Cloud's big sword that reached so far,
Or Keyblades like the Wishing Star.
When I first saw my Avatar,
I thought the premise raised the bar.
But I can't travel very far,
And never did become a star.

After-poem A/N: I apologize for the long wait on Dark Clouds, my ongoing BlazBlue/Kingdom Hearts crossover. I can't make promises, but at least the idea for the next chapter is fairly solid. If there's anything you'd like to see that would make Atlantica look less like filler, please include it in a review or PM! As a last note, I realize these A/N's are longer than the actual poem. This whole file is basically one big apology.
