So wow, haven't published anything on here in forever...sorry.

Anywho, I wrote this drabble a long long LONG time ago and was going though my computer and found it and thought I might as well post it.

Based off this picture newsiesfreakdotcom/site4-newsiesdotjpg, replace each dot with a dot...of course!

"Medda May We?"

"You sure she won't mind us using the theater?" David asked Jack as he opened the backstage door to Irving Hall.

"Naw, of course not," he replied. "We just gotta turn on the charm, and we'll be set."

David, who had pretty much not talked to a girl besides his mother, sister, and teachers without being tongue-tied, gulped as he shrugged.

"You'as able to sell the idea to Spot; Medda should be a piece of cake to convince," Jack added.

No big deal, right? Talking to Medda should be a piece of cake. Right. She practically fawned over Jack's smooth charm when me and Les first met her anyways, I'll let him do all the talking.

Jack knocked on Medda's dressing room door and they were instantly greeted by the redheaded woman. She wore a lace, cream-colored, long sleeved dress.

"Hello there, Kelly," she greeted, giving Jack a hug. "David, nice to see you again." She hugged the lesser-known newsie. "Now what brings you boys here?"

Jack nudged David with his elbow, giving him a "go on, tell her" look.

Thanks a lot, Jack.

David stepped forward.

"You see, Medda, the newsies of New York are in the middle of a strike," he said. "We've already gotten our picture in the papes this afternoon. We're planning on having a rally to show Pulitzer we mean business. And we were wondering if, if you don't mind, of course, if we could have it here."

Medda saw the gleam in his eyes and sighed.

"Kiddo," she said. "I can't just let you have a party here for free. I still got a business to run here."

"We can take a collection from the boys," Jack stepped in. "'m sure they won't mind, since it's for the strike."

"If you can get me the money," Medda replied. "Of course you can have your rally here, boys. I'd be delighted to help."

"Thanks Medda," Jack said. "We gotta go now." He kissed her cheek before dragging David outside.

"Did you see her dress?" Jack asked once they were outside. "Looks like a damn circus tent if you ask me."

So yeah. Reviews are love and possibly inspiration for me to update other things.
