I gave out a small yawn, barely able to keep my eyes opened. I rested my head back on the headrest and closed my eyes. Eisuke sat besides me as he drove. We were going on a short vacation together. Our destination was by no means close. It would be quite the drive to get there. Instead of flying, Eisuke decided he wanted to go on a road trip. It would be 'fun' he said.
'All I've seen is nothing but trees the whole time. What's so fun about that?'
I let out a tired sigh as I kept my eyes closed.
'I would have liked a bit more excitement...'
I'm not sure what was so fun about driving the whole way. Eisuke had barely spoken a word to me this whole time.
'He looks way too focused on driving.'
We had barely passed by anyone for miles now. He could at least talk to me a little while driving.
"You tired?"
I hear Eisuke's voice and open my eyes. I focus my sleepy eyes in his direction. He's still completely focused on driving.
I nodded my head as I replied in barely a whisper, "Yeah."
"You should get some sleep."
I wouldn't mind getting some sleep but I also didn't want to leave Eisuke alone as he drove while I slept. It didn't seem fair.
"Don't worry. I'm fine. Just sleep if you are tired."
Eisuke must have noticed I was hesitant. I decided to listen to him as I could barely keep my eyes opened anyway.
I rested my head back against the headrest and soon sleep had taken over.
I'm not sure how long I had been asleep for before I was awoken by someone yelling. I immediately opened my eyes in a panic. I looked towards Eisuke to see he was the one yelling.
"Eisuke!? What's wrong!?"
Eisuke didn't say a word he didn't even look at me, he kept his eyes focused ahead of him. I felt my body go numb as I trained my focus on to where he was looking and what I saw nearly made my heart stop.
"AHHHHH!"
'Oh my goodness. I'm gonna die! I'm too young to die!'
I screamed at the top of my lungs. I saw my life flash before my eyes as I saw a car coming our way. But then I realized it wasn't getting any closer.
"Huh...?"
I was utterly confused. I noticed Eisuke was no longer yelling but instead a laughter filled the car.
"Your reaction. It was priceless."
Eisuke had the biggest grin on his face. He held onto his stomach, he looked like he was enjoying himself a bit too much.
'Wait the car isn't even moving anymore. Have we stopped?'
I was miffed. I started to sulk as I glared at Eisuke. I couldn't believe he did that to me.
"Hey, now. Don't look at me like that. I did say this trip would be fun, didn't I?"
Eisuke smirked and I felt my blood pressure rise.
"Fun!? My heart nearly stopped! I thought I was going to die..."
I looked away, I could still feel my heart beating uncontrollably.
"I'm sorry. I thought you might have been bored. So I wanted to make it exciting."
I rolled my eyes and shook my head. I couldn't believe what he was saying. Of course I might have been a little bored but the kind of excitement he provided was not the kind I had quite hoped for.
'I don't know if I want to ride with him again...'
I then remembered there is still the drive back.
'Oh no... What kinda excitement might he have planned for the way back!?'
A look of horror crossed my face as I looked at Eisuke. I never knew what to expect with him. Life was always full of surprises when I'm with him.
'At least life will never be dull.'
