The First Day of the Eighth Grade

September 6, 2016

Rise and shine in Royal Oak, Michigan, which was a suburb of Detroit. The paperboy rode the bicycle down the sidewalk on Franklin Avenue; there were vivid green trees around the street. The paperboy was humming, on the way to 1216 Franklin Avenue known as the "Loud House" and throwing the newspaper on the porch. The patriarch of the Loud children, Lynn Loud Senior known as "Captain Cowbell" picked the newspaper up and closed the door.

There were ELEVEN children in the house; you couldn't imagine how the large family cramped in the two-story house.

In Lucy and Lynn's bedroom, a thirteen-year-old, Lynn Loud Junior was snoring in her bed while her roommate, Lucy Loud, the fifth youngest child of the Loud family was getting dressed up for the first day of school and wearing a black simple dress, black and white striped tights, and a pair of black mary janes, brushing her hair while staring at Lynn snoring. Lucy was about to wake her older sister up.

"Lynn, wake up and get dressed up for the first day of school," Lucy said, tried to wake her older sister.

The fifth oldest child of the Loud family, Lynn woke up and groaned, but saw her alarm clock, it was 7:35 AM.

"Aw, crap…" Lynn said, about to get up.

Despite her age, her appearance made it seem like she was no longer a preteen and she had not developed her breasts yet, but she would wear a training bra to school. Lynn put a training bra on her breasts, about to look for her outfits in her closet. She grabbed a white Adidas "Trefoil" tee shirt to put on and put a pair of Brandy Melville black velvet shorts on. She walked towards the closet and picked her brand new Adidas "Superstar" sneakers up. She brushed her hair, styled her messy bun on her hair.

Still, Lynn thought to herself as she left the bedroom and came down to the dining room. In the dining room, the Loud children enjoyed eating their hearty breakfast; buttermilk pancakes and bacon, which were cooked by the patriarch of the Loud children. Lynn entered the dining room and sat down on the table between Luna Loud, the third oldest child of the Loud family and Lincoln Loud, the middle child of the Loud family.

When the Loud children finished their breakfast, the oldest child of the Loud family, Lori Loud was waiting for her siblings and wearing an off-shoulder top, destroyed boyfriend jeans, and a pair of Birkenstock "Arizona" sandals while holding Vanzilla keys. The oldest one started her senior year at Royal Oak High School with her younger sisters; Luna and Luan, who started her freshman year in high.

"Leni left the house for the academy in Flint, Michigan. Get your butts to Vanzilla NOW!" Lori shouted.

The Loud children grabbed their backpacks and went outside, got in the family van. Lori started up the engine, drove to Oakland Elementary School in Royal Oak, Michigan where the younger siblings; Lisa, Lola, Lana, and Lucy attended. Lori dropped Lisa Loud; the second youngest child of the Loud family, Lola Loud; the third youngest child of the Loud family, Lana Loud; the fourth youngest child of the Loud family, and the last one, Lucy off at Oakland Elementary School.

On North Washington Avenue, Lori drove to Royal Oak Middle School and dropped Lincoln and Lynn off, then drove to Royal Oak High School. Lincoln and Lynn thought as they left the family van and walked to the building, Lincoln was about to speak to the audience.

"Well, it is the first day of school. I feel like I am too nervous to enter the middle school, this is not the same as the elementary school like the playground the elementary school has offered. Luckily, my older sister, Lynn is going to the same school with me but it is her final year of middle school, she will head to high school next year." Lincoln said as he spoke to the audience.

Lincoln and his older sister entered the building, saw the middle schoolers using their phone and chatting with their other friends about how summer it was. Lynn saw Blake Tanner, an eighth grader and an athlete at the local middle school. His appearance made it seem like he was taller a little than her. His hair was dirty blond, his eyes were blue eyes. He wore a burgundy hooded sweatshirt, black shorts, black Nike crew socks, and burgundy Vans "Authentic" sneakers while chatting with his teammates; Francisco Lugo and Adam Dawes about the topic.

"I am predicting the upcoming season, Golden State Warriors will whoop Lebron James and his team, Cleveland Cavilers' asses in the NBA finals," Blake said.

"Because Kevin Durant is the new addition to Golden State Warriors," Adam said.

"One of the teammates may cost the team in the NBA finals," Blake added, saw Lynn.

"Hey, guys," Lynn said, carried her backpack.

"Oh, hey Lynn. How was your summer?" Blake asked Lynn a question.

During the summer break; Lynn was grounded until school started for holding her bat to threaten her younger brother when she asked him if he would come to her softball game last spring. Her parents took her sporting goods equipment away from her to be stored in the garage and smartphone away from her to be locked in her parents' room to give her some life lessons. Lynn was sent to Auntie Ruth's house to have to do chores for her aunt.

"It was terrible ever I had, sorry if I could not a response to you back because my parents took my smartphone away for the rest of the summer break, they gave me some lessons what I made my mistakes…" Lynn responded meekly.

"Sorry if you were grounded for the rest of summer break, I am glad you have made your mistakes for your actions," Blake said.

"Lynnie, I tried to text or call you but you ignored me," Francisco said, crossed his arms.

"Franc, sorry if you got pissed off at me. I was GROUNDED until school started, I couldn't play any sports, use my smartphone or watch TV; especially I missed to watch the NBA Finals, MLB, or other games…" Lynn said meekly.

"Whatever…" Francisco said, walked away from Lynn and her friends.

Lynn and Blake had nothing to say about Francisco, Lynn felt upset about how Francisco's behaviors were unacceptable. Lynn thought to herself as she remembered when her team and another team were giving their regards for a good game. She stopped to see one boy, Francisco Lugo on the opposing team spit in his hand. She spat in her hand and the two of them shake at the baseball field. Yes, Lynn had a crush on the Filipino baseball player on the opposing team. One day, she wrote down the love letter about her crush, and then she sneaked one under Francisco's helmet.

When the school bell rang, the middle schoolers went to their homerooms respectively. Lynn and Blake were about to come to their homeroom, entered their homeroom. There were Jessica Chen, Margo Robert, Paula Day, Byron Novak, CiCi, Claude Gautier, Noah Besser, and some random students in the classroom. Their teacher, Ms. Casin entered the classroom, held a mug of coffee. The Social Studies teacher taught her students some geography lessons for an hour. Lynn Loud felt uneasy in the classroom, her best friend, Jessica Chen whispered her and asked her.

"What's the matter, Lynn?" Jessica whispered, asked Lynn.

"Um… Ms. Casin, can I go to the restroom?" Lynn asked, raised her hand.

"Of course, you can go to the restroom but you should be back in TEN minutes." Ms. Casin said, gave Lynn the restroom pass.

Lynn rushed to the restroom, went to the toilet to do her business and looked down her panties, there were red spots on. She was frantic to see the spots on her spots. Was not that just the greatest start to the eighth-grade year at Royal Oak Middle School? She thought to herself as she pulled her shorts up and left the restroom, rushed back to her classroom. This was how uncomfortable she was telling in front of a BUNCH of the MALE STUDENTS in the classroom…

Lynn had no idea to say something…
