Natasha exited the Avengers Facility with her go bag. She always kept it packed for situations like this. She was always prepared to go on a run.
As she drove Natasha thought about what had over the past few days. So many innocent people dead. She thought about the battle that happened.
She had let Steve and Barnes escape. She knew it was a big risk and that Ross would not let this go. She had signed the Accords and then went against them.
She couldn't help but think that her decision was hasty. She should have thought this through. It made her sick how easily she had betrayed Tony.
Maybe the genius was right, she was only capable of being duplicitous. Now Rhodes was probably out of commission permanently and Vision was out of control.
The rest of Steve's team was in prison. Oh, Clint was in prison. Her heart clenched thinking about it.
She was somewhat angry at Steve for involving Clint after her boyfriend had retired. But she knew he came back for not only Wanda but also Barnes. Her Hawk was a big believer in second chances.
She knows Clint will never sign the Accords. Protecting Barney's family is his top priority. He will never do anything to compromise it.
Thinking about them made Natasha crave for the family. Laura's warmth. The kid's innocence. She wanted to find them. But she wouldn't. She cannot put them in danger.
Plus she is pretty sure; Clint moved them to a different place.
Two days later she heard that the imprisoned Avengers had been broken out. She had felt herself smile. She knew Steve would never leave them in there to rot.
Now all of them were fugitives.
Maybe Clint and she will be able to hash things out.
She just needs to find him.
