Dressed in a suit and tie, 16 year old Ritsu Onodera, stands at the front of the funeral home. His boyfriend, Saga Masamune, stands right behind him. In his right hand he holds the neck of his violin and in his left the bow to play it. Other relatives were dressed in their Sunday best and also held various instruments in their hand, and the ones that didn't bowed their heads and muttering prayers under their breath. Up front the priest was ending his sermon.

"…and may his soul find his way to you, lord. Amen. As we lower the casket the Onodera's will be playing a piece in memory of their fallen brethren." The priest makes a cross symbol on his chest and walks away from the podium.

The people that had instruments in their hands walked up to the front, behind the podium, standing in front of them was men and women dressed in the same outfits. The rest of the guests were either seated or standing and whispering to themselves about the people at the front. Apparently they had not asked permission to be up there and some of the guests were upset. No one said anything about it because the parents of the deceased were very happy that they wouldn't have to watch their son be lowered in the ground in a tense silence.

As the casket was slowly lowered into the ground, the people began to sing and play the instruments with such harmony that it drove many of the people attending to tears.

When the dirt was shoveled on top of the casket the priest said one more prayer and ended the funeral. All of the instruments had to be packed and loaded onto a big van before Saga could talk to Ritsu again and even then he was surrounded by people either scolding him about playing without asking permission or saying about how well he played.

When Saga, Ritsu, and Mr. and Mrs. Onodera were driving home he didn't get a chance either. Ritsu, having lost one of his childhood friends, was tired and fell asleep on Saga's shoulder. On their way to the Onodera household, Mr. Onodera dropped Saga off at his house and told him that Ritsu probably wouldn't come to school for a few days. Saga wasn't surprised and said that he understood and gave Ritsu a quick peck on the lips before heading into his house.

A few days passed before Saga saw Ritsu again. Saga had gone to the library to study or read before the classes for the day start.

"Hey." Saga said and plopped into the chair next to Ritsu.

"S-Saga-sempai!" Ritsu squeaks and closes his book with a hand to his chest. "You scared me."

Saga smiled and patted Ritsu's head. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you like that." Saga chuckles and suddenly turns serious. "Ritsu why didn't you tell me that you could play the violin?"

Ritsu blinks in surprise and turns back to his book, trying to find the page he was on. "You never asked."

"How am I supposed to know what to ask about your personal life to know more about you?" Saga questions.

Ritsu ponders this for a moment before finding an answer that he likes. "I don't know. Guess you'll have to start asking random questions to find out more." Giving Saga a cheeky grin he turns back to his book and continues to read.

Saga groans playfully as he thinks about the statement. 'I guess I'll have to ask random questions from now on.' He looked over to Ritsu. 'It's still worth it.' He thought with a smile as he reaches into his bag for a book to read.
