Finicky Little Fennekin
It was a little amusing to watch the finicky little Fennekin stamp its feet like a wild thing, and Fletchinder couldn't stop the squawk of laughter from escaping. But that was all he allowed himself, and all a stern look from Serena allowed as well.
After all, he was trying to teach Fennekin Flame Charge. Which was easier said than done because Fennekin had been reluctant to stamp her feet that hard. And the laughter wasn't helping – despite the amusing scene.
Ash, Pikachu and Bonnie were laughing outright. Clemont was trying not to but failing almost miserably. Only Serena still had a straight face. After all, her Pokemon needed to learn that move and Fletchinder was the only other on their team that knew it.
'I'm sorry,' she soothed her embarrassed starter Pokemon. 'I'll make you some special macaroons later, but keep trying to learn this move, okay?'
Her ears low, Fennekin nodded.
Serena gave her one last pet and stood up, this time adopting an angry face. 'And the rest of you, out! Or no macaroons for you?'
They fled, except for Fletchinder who hoped having the others gone meant the scene of Fennekin stamping around wouldn't be so amusing anymore. Because he didn't want to miss out on those macaroons at all.
