Mayura sat opposite Alice looking pissed off but wasn't looking at her in the face. Her long hair was tied into a ponytail with a lose strand. She had no idea what had happened when Tetsuya and Alice had been alone together but obviously something had happened.
Kyo had punched Tatsuya and almost beaten him to death; Alice had been crying and Kyo had been seriously angry. Obviously something serious had happened and she wasn't happy about being left out of the loop about it.
Alice was her sister and Kyo was her boyfriend; yet they were hiding something from her and she knew it. The fact that two people that were very close to her were keeping secrets did not make her happy in the slightest.
Alice sat on her knee's her hands in her lap. Her head was bowed and she was trembling all over. How could she explain to her sister that she had never even liked Tetsuya in the first place.
"Why didn't you TELL me?!" Mayura said crossly. She could have saved everyone a lot of trouble if she had just been honest and told Tatsuya that she had no interest in him and didn't want to date him.
Alice's heart began to race fear filling her body. Had Mayura found out about her feelings for Kyo? "Um...I...I just..." Alice began nervously. How was she supposed to explain to her sister that she liked the same guy as her?
"I worked REALLY hard so you could be happy Alice you don't want to be alone forever do you?!" She said crossly but with a hint of worry. Alice was a very cute girl even if she was somewhat of a wallflower; there were plenty of guys that would want to date her.
Alice stiffened and her expression became conflicted "Of course I don't! But I don't LIKE Tetsuya and he tried to force himself on me!" Alice yelled crossly. If Kyo hadn't shown up when he did; god knows what he might have done to her. She had been so scared and the memory still ran shivers down her spine.
Mayura blinked and then frowned "Don't be silly Alice he wouldn't do that!" She said firmly. She knew Tatsuya; he was a bit of a prankster and a loudmouth but he was by no means that kind of guy.
Alice was stunned by Mayura's response. Her OWN sister didn't believe her and she never lied about anything. She clenched her fists "Sis it's true, every word" she said bravely.
Mayura wouldn't listen; she ignored Alice's words as if she had never even spoken "Alice Tatsuya is a nice guy he wouldn't do that I'm sure he and Kyo just had a disagreement" she said firmly.
Alice felt tears well up her chest was hurting badly; as if her heart was being squeezed. She was in LOVE with Kyo and wanted him to be HERS; she had been in love with him since she was a first year. But as long as her sister was around she would never have him as her own.
She had always been in her sisters shadow no matter how hard she studied or was kind to people; simply forgotten about and called "That girl" or "The younger Seno sister" or even "Mayura's shadow".
Not to mention her parents fawned over Mayura 24/7 and treated her like she didn't even matter. Their own father didn't even speak to her anymore. She bowed her head sadly she had had enough of the pain and the sadness.
She didn't want to feel like this anymore; she didn't want to keep being ignored, belittled and being treated as if she wasn't important. She didn't want to keep feeling like her own existence was meaningless and nothing she did mattered.
Mayura saw her sisters expression and softened. She felt bad about being so hard on her "Look don't get upset I just don't like it when you lie Alice it's not nice" Mayura said in a kinder but still firm voice.
Alice didn't respond she just sat there quietly an invisible dark aura surrounding her body like a mist. The tears began to spill over and fall down her cheeks like a waterfall but she didn't care Mayura wouldn't notice she never did.
Mayura looked concerned "Hey Alice are you crying?" She said worriedly. She began to feel guilty she hadn't meant to come across as a bully "Look don't cry I just wanted to teach you a lesson" she said reaching out to touch her shoulder.
"VINA (Rejection)" Alice said darkly. She didn't want to listen; she didn't want to hear anything that Mayura said anymore. All she thought about was herself and was never on her side.
Mayura was blown back into her bedroom door her hair falling out from the impact of the blast. She stared at Alice in shock and disbelief where was this power coming from?
"ALICE NO!" A voice cried to which Nyozeka appeared in her guardian form. She had feared this would happen; there was much darkness swirling around in Alice's heart but Mayura had caused it to overflow.
"WHO ARE YOU?!" Mayura cried even more stunned at the floating plushie. Alice's pet rabbit was talking and it now looked like a human girl. She could feel her skin itching at the teasing contact.
"No time to explain what happened to Alice?" Nyozeka demanded. Just what in the hell had she said or done that had caused such powerful Maram to awaken inside of Alice?
The blonde teen swallowed nervously "I...I told her that lying isn't good and how hard I had tried to get her a boyfriend" Mayura said nervously. She didn't understand how what she said had caused this.
"YOU FOOL!" Nyozeka yelled crossly. Alice had been carrying these demons for a long time but hearing such painful words from someone you loved would hurt anyone. This had caused her to snap and give herself to the darkness.
"Huh?" Mayura said looking both annoyed and shocked. She didn't appreciate this floating furry lookalike in robes insulting her. This had to be some form of dream if she was seeing this.
"Alice is filled with rage and hatred unlike anything I've ever felt before. You've obviously done or said something that has awakened the Maram inside her" Nyozeka yelled.
Alice softened upon hearing Nyozeka's voice. She looked at them her eyes empty and sad the tears still spilling over "You NEVER listen to me sis but what else is new" she said coldly.
"Alice don't give in to it!" Nyozeka cried desperately. She had to salvage what purity was left in the Neo master's heart. She knew it was hard and she had done well to endure; but if she gave up now everything would be over.
Alice turned to face Nyozeka and smiled sadly "I'm sorry Nyozeka but I can't take it anymore this world is so cruel I just want to leave it behind" she said and began to fade away into the air.
Mayura reached out to grab her sister but before she could Alice had vanished. Her eyes widened with shock and disbelief and what she had just encountered and how fast it had excelled.
Suddenly Mrs Seno rushed upstairs to see Mayura sitting silently on the floor all messed up. Just what in the hell had been that loud bang? "Mayura are you ok? Where's Alice?" She said worriedly.
"She...She's gone..." Mayura said quietly her voice still shocked. She had vanished like morning fog over the city, like frozen snow in the hot sun. She was right there with her and now she was gone.
"What are you talking about?" Mrs Seno said crossly. She wasn't making any sense; I mean she hadn't heard Alice going anywhere unless she had jumped out of the window.
"She...She just vanished" Mayura said her voice more panicked this time. She had to find her sister and make up; whatever was hurting her she would do her best to make it up to her no matter what.
Mrs Seno said nothing perhaps she was just tired or had been through some kind of shock but she was not in the mood for games. She went downstairs to finish dinner and allow her daughter to come to her senses.
"This is bad" Nyozeka said looking concerned. Alice had a lot of power inside of her; unlimited capabilities which would make her a fine Lotus master. But instead she had turned to the darkness because of her own inner demons.
"Why where is Alice?" Mayura begged desperately. This rabbit girl was strange but she seemed to understand the situation better. For now she would follow her if it meant rescuing Alice.
"She's been taken into the Maram" Nyozeka said worriedly. Hopefully they could find her first before they got to her; while her heart was still able to be purified.
Mayura's eyes widened in shock and concern. She didn't know what Maram was or what the hell was going on. But from the expression on the bunny girls face it couldn't have been good.
