Misdreavus and its Perish Song
Misdreavus had an interesting voice. It was sweet and frightening and slippery as honey and shark as knives grating against each other all at once. And that was its normal voice: the voice it chattered with while following its trainer, or the one it shouted attacks and battle cries with.
But its Perish Song was even more interesting a sound. Indescribable, but all those words from before couldn't do justice to something that stood on another level. That Perish Song – that would make anyone who heard it faint, after being filled with the greatest joy and the greatest despair and all manner of other extreme, poetic things that seemed to lose their meanings in the words that chained them down.
But it was a song the Misdreavus hardly ever sung, because it was a lonely thing, to be the only one awake for miles around.
