So, a few days ago, I was looking through the list of FMA fics, hoping to find something new... And was disappointed that there was only stuff I didn't want to read. And there were still some stories that... Well, just from the summary, you can tell it's going to be a really cliche OC-centric story. Yes, there are some that are really good, like KarmaHope's work, but for most of them, the main girls are just too similar, and the writing is just too similar (and sometimes, sadly, poor quality too). I decided I wanted to rebel! HaHA, SUCKAS! This is not the average story, because I am not your average writer!

This is my second try, cuz the first ended up way too long for the title. XD

Maddy was a huge fan of Fullmetal Alchemist.

She was driving.

Someone stupid crashed into her.

She woke up in a place that was all white, except for a huge floating door.

"Hello, Madeline."

She blinked as she realized she was looking at Truth. Her mouth dropped.

"You're not real!..." she shakily said as her eyes widened more and more.

"I am very real. And if I am, then so is Amestris, and the whole universe around it. Alchemy is real. And the Truth lies just beyond that door."

"I didn't do anything!" Maddy yelled slightly angrily.

"Yet I am giving you the ...opportunity to see the alternate world you love so much for yourself. I'll give you a moment to think."

She stood silently, engrossed deeply in her contemplating.

She considered how great it would be to possibly change things so that people like Hughes didn't die, and get to learn alchemy, and get to meet some of the greatest characters ever.

She made her decision.

"No."

"Okay."

She gasped loudly as she woke up again. Her chest heaved as she gulped in air. After a minute of deep breathing, she could finally open her eyes more and study her surroundings. She was in a hospital bed.

"She's awake!" A nurse yelled as she ran into the room.

"Go tell her family in the waiting room," a doctor ordered to one of his assistants as he burst through the door too.

Maddy smiled a bit through the pain. She was on her side of the Gate. And alive. That was a close one.

If she had said yes to Truth, it would've been suicide.

Who would make the stupid decision to go to Amestris?

I don't know why, but Maddy was seriously the very first name I thought of off the top of my head when I started to write this.

You are still welcome to write, guys, but I invite you to go more out-of-the-box! Really think about what's out there, filling this site... and do the complete opposite! :D

Hope you enjoyed! And, hopefully, within a few months I'll have finished this big chapter story I've been working on and will start posting!

K bai!
