She stayed silent. He stayed silent. Both keeping distance yet both felt the same way towards each other. Will they finally speak up before… it's too late?
SILENCE
"Hotaru, are you going to be silent forever?" Mikan, her best friend, asked her. They were inside her room. She was prone lying on the bed, reading her favorite Technology magazine, while her best friend stayed on the couch, feet dangling on the arms while eating her favorite yoghurt. When she heard what the brunette said, she peered over the magazine, looking straight at her with boring eyes.
"Speak for yourself," she answered. Mikan just shrugged before she resumed eating.
The thing here was, Hotaru had a secret crush on Mikan's childhood friend Ruka Nogi. He had no idea about it whatsoever. It was only Mikan who knew of her secret liking towards the bunny boy. Mikan was her best friend, that's why. And since Hotaru threatened her not to tell anyone OR ELSE, Mikan just kept her mouth shut. Ruka, on the other hand, also liked Hotaru silently. And only Mikan have the knowledge about it. Since she can't tell anyone about Hotaru's sentiments, she was about to tell her about his for he never told Mikan not to tell anyone. It was a perfect plan until… he blackmailed her.
So, in order to help both of them, she just silently pushed them towards each other… like plan on a group study, inviting the both of them yet in the midst of the studying, she'll suddenly disappear. It was a good plan, for months she kept on doing those kinds of techniques but… none ever worked.
Meanwhile, as Mikan and Ruka were childhood best friends, he also knew of her private admiration towards his playboy best friend Natsume Hyuuga. So when Mikan almost got the perfect idea to tell Hotaru that Ruka liked her too, he blackmailed her that if she does that, he'll also tell Natsume about her feelings. So, she stayed silent.
In the meantime, though the raven-haired playboy known as Natsume had different girls on each hand, all those times, he had been yearning for a single girl to recognize him… that's none other than, yupyou guessed it, Mikan Yukihira. But yeah the hell he'll say it to her. Whenever she's there in front of him, he'd always make out with other girls. Yet in reality, he'd just do that to make her pissed. He wanted to see her care and get jealous but… she never did.
So, due to ego and fear, the four kept silent. Just waiting for the other to go to them and tell. Sadly, the four thought of the same thing all the time. Therefore, we can therefore hypothesize that if they keep on thinking that kind of stuffs, they'll never get their happy ending. When do you think will they be able to speak up? The question is, can they… before it's too late?
