Wammy's House.

Everyday, I see kids moving around inside the place, each unique in their own way. For example, there was one boy, about my age, with dark hair, dark eyes, and a white shirt. On my way to school, I have to walk by the strange building, and I look for him. He is always there, moving, talking, and just relaxing, and I wish to join him. He seemed so….. content. Not happy, but satisfied. I, on the other hand, am anything but content. I've always wanted to leave in my eight short years of life.

In the orphanage where I lived, I was harassed and bullied constantly. I was either "too much of a know-it-all", "too much of a kiss-butt", "too much of a freak", or just plain annoying to the older children in the house, and I constantly paid for it. I usually fight back in physical fights or yelling fights, but to tell you the truth, I was sick of it. I was going to leave soon, or die trying. Now how to plan….

"Hey Clara! Are you too good to talk with the best people in this orphanage? Or wait, I forgot, you probably forgot that we live in that fantasy world of yours!" Edward, one of my worst tormentors, sneered. He was 11, with a medium build, blonde hair, and blue eyes to match.

"Oh! Eddy, sweetheart, how could I forget about your butt-ugly face?" I sarcastically reply to him, cursing under my breath enough to make the Pope himself come and slap me. Why now? Right when I'm in the middle of my plans. That boy has the worst timing!

"You better back off Clara. He is MINE." Gwen, Edward's girlfriend, snapped at me. I chuckled at this, seeing as she didn't get that I was insulting him. "Why are you chuckling, Clara? Want another bruise?" she tries to threaten me, but it just makes me laugh harder. She could not harm a fly without Edward.

"Sure, if you want a bloody, broken nose, cuts, and bruises all over you." I immediately comment back, and I am about to fulfill my threat when the front door of the orphanage opens. All of the eyes in the room go towards the door, since only rich adults trying to adopt 'sweet angels' came through that door. I don't even bother looking towards the door. I am never going to be adopted, since I am putting my escape into action tomorrow. While insulting Gwen, I finally though of a plan. Guess she is good for something at least.

"I need to see Clara Ward. She will need to accompany me to Wammy's House, right down the road. She will not be coming back." I snap my head up in shock. Who would want me at that beautiful place, with the interesting boy? The place of my dreams? I about faint when I see who it is. It is him. He has come to save me from the depths of hell. His dark eyes meet mine, and I know that the dark-haired boy was going to become my ally.
