3rd Person's POV
"And they all lived happily ever after." A young auburn haired woman read to the small orange-haired child. The boy gazed drowsily at the auburn haired woman as he fought to keep his eyes open.
"Another one, mama." He mumbled.
"I think it's time for you to go to bed, Kazui." The gentle auburn haired woman smiled lovingly at her son.
"Okay. Goodnight mama." Kazui yawned.
"Goodnight sweetheart." She leaned forward to kiss his forehead tenderly then quietly left the room.
She shut the door as gently as possible, only to turn around and jumped at the sudden arrival of the older orange-haired man.
"Ichigo, don't scare me like that." The woman chastised softly.
"Sorry, Orihime." Ichigo grinned.
Orihime sighed before ushering herself and Ichigo out onto their porch. It has been 10 years since the end of the Quincy war against Yhwach and his Quincy army. Since then Ichigo Kurosaki realised that life was too short and that he should do whatever he can to find happiness. Orihime Inoue had come to the same realisation and plucked up the courage to confess to longtime love; Ichigo. Originally, when Orihime confessed to him Ichigo was in shock and avoided her for a week until Tatsuki and Rukia forced him to talk to the poor girl. At that moment in time, where Orihime sat on the rooftop overlooking the school he was mesmerised. Ichigo Kurosaki was in love with Orihime Inoue. After 2 years of going on many dates and many family dinners filled with Isshin's eccentric declarations of pride, Ichigo finally proposed. 1 year later, Orihime Inoue became Orihime Kurosaki and Kazui joined the fray shortly after the honeymoon.
As the pair sat in a nostalgic silence, Ichigo turned to face his beautiful wife. Wife. He still couldn't believe she said yes and blessed him with an incredible son. How lucky did he get.
The young couple stared up at the stars and remembered all the moments in their fated lives where they never thought they would live like this.
This truly was a blessing.
So as they watched a shooting star fall to the ground, they made a wish.
"I pray for more halcyon days."
