BOUNCED

Kou swept the last of the dirt into the dustpan before throwing it into the bin. They had been short staffed that evening and busy. It was just Sion and himself left, cleaning up the last bits and pieces.

Kou left the kitchen to find the main room empty.

"Sion?" he called.

"Upstairs."

Kou smiled to himself, he had half thought Sion would have left without saying goodbye. But he knew Sion wouldn't have, it would have been rude to have said nothing. But it also meant that Kou was alone with his love for Sion.

He found Sion sitting at the table, shuffling papers.

"No matter where you work, what you do, there is paperwork. Always," said Sion with a glance in Kou's direction.

Kou grinned,

"I leave it to more capable hands," he said coming over to the table. He leaned against the edge and watched Sion finish his work and pack the files away.

"Shall we go?" asked Sion as he locked the filing cabinet and pocketed the keys.

"Ready when you are," said Kou.

Sion tossed the front door keys into the air and caught them as they made their way toward the stairs. Halfway there, Sion didn't catch them and they fell to the ground. Both of them bent to pick them up, Sion got them and Kou's hand closed over his.

Sion didn't pull his hand away, Kou remained still. Kou's mind was racing – what did this mean; to him right now it meant only one thing. He could feel his body tense up at the thought. After a moment Sion looked up at him,

"Kou," he started but didn't finish as Kou leant forward and kissed him.

Sion didn't resist, he pulled his hand free only to grab hold of Kou's waistband and pull him closer. Kou stopped thinking about his motives or about anything other than the person in his arms. Sion clung to Kou as he slowly knelt taking Sion down with him. He run a hand up Sion's top and brushed his fingers across his neck. He pushed himself between Sion's legs, using his free hand to undo Sion's pants.

Sion pushed Kou's waistcoat off his shoulders and ran his hands along his tattoos; he dragged his fingers down Kou's chest toward his waistband and started on his belt. Kou was taking off Sion's shoe and together they pulled the other's pants down, only Kou slid Sion's right off.

Sion wrapped his arms around Kou's neck and gasped as Kou slid into him. Kou soon become lost in the motion and Sion's panting in his ear. Sion pushed him over so he was on top, allowing Kou to touch and stroke him as they moved together.

Too soon for Kou's liking, Sion was lying next to him breathing heavily. Kou looked over at his lover but Sion was not looking at him. He was staring at the ceiling, his expression troubled.

Kou stroked Sion's upper arm,

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"Kou," started Sion but once again Kou stopped him with a kiss only this time Sion turned his head away.

"Kou, I do like you," he said, "but I do not love you."

Kou suddenly felt cold, lying on the floor. He got up and started to dress.

"I know you love me but I, I've tried to find a way to love you back," said Sion sitting up.

"So you felt sorry for me and though you could compensate by letting me fuck you?" demanded Kou.

"No," said Sion looking hurt, "I wanted you now. I have wanted you in the past but never didn't anything because that's all I can give you and it would have been selfish of me. I love someone else – "

"Dominique," interrupted Kou. Sion didn't deny it. "Why now, tonight?"

"I, when you didn't let go – I wanted to tell you then but you kissed me and it was what I wanted so I gave in," said Sion. "And if it costs me your friendship, I'll regret it forever."

Kou stood quietly for a moment – could he live with one sided love? He could find out? And there was the possibility that Sion would fall for him again. He grinned,

"Don't be silly," he said. "Let's go home for real this time."
