I barely even know where I'm going with this… /Cartwheels into the distance
Pairing: Zutara
Rating: K+
It was early in the morning. The sun was still making its way across the horizon. As far as Katara knew, she was the only one up and moving. Aang didn't have firebending training with Zuko this morning, so he wouldn't be up for a while yet. Sokka wouldn't come out unless she dragged him out herself. Suki might come out soon. And she didn't even dare to open Toph's door at this hour.
Katara was watching the sunrise, shades of orange and yellow mixing in with the deep blues of the early rising sky. She loved times like this. The calm early morning before the upcoming day. She could smile and enjoy the early morning breeze blowing through the long beach grass.
Katara heard a door close from inside the beach house. Probably Suki she thought as she picked herself up from the ground and returned to the house to start breakfast and the day's chores - hopefully she could get into Toph's room to actually clean it without being interrupted today.
Katara was setting a bowl of fruit onto the table when she heard noises coming form upstairs. Ascending up the staircase, she listened for where the noises were coming from. The sounds took her to the bathroom.
The waterbender pressed her ear to the closed door, listening. The noises were deep and raspy - so definitely not Suki.
Katara slowly opoened the door and saw Zuko. In nothing but a towel. His eyes closed. Facing the mirror with his back to her. Singing.
He opened his eyes and jumped a good five feet in the air from seeing Katara. The waterbender slowly closed the door and walked away. She could still hear him yelling "Katara!" as she walked down the stairs, grinning like a fool the whole way down.
Remember to Smile :)
