Those were not eyes a boy of fifteen should have. Neither was the curse he sported on his right. How could one look at those tormented souls and not look away? How could one not blame those unfortunate beings when they tortured and forced you to do such things a young kid should not need to have as a burden? Lavi did not know and wished he did not care. As the successor to the Bookman clan, he noticed things others did not, like how Kanda Yuu's fingers twitch when he sees Allen Walker, smiling like he's happy when he's clearly not, as if he wants to either smack him upside the head or to pat the younger one's head like how an older brother would do or how Komui Lee forces himself to say those things that he knew would hurt Allen even if his heart was screaming out for him to stop. But, there was no way he could top Gramps, Gramps whose piercing hawk like eyes which scrutinized each and every detail before storing them up, whom should have failing eye sight from his age but instead saw more clearly than he did. Especially with those words that tore away Lavi's cover, "Don't you even think about falling in love with that boy, Lavi, you know the rules."
Yes, Lavi knows the rules but god be damned if he could stop what he felt.
Author's note: Its been quite a while since I have written something and I feel really really rusty. Hope you guys like this small piece, its my first time attempting characters from this anime/manga. Enjoy and do please review~!
